11388PatchesPlaylistsVery LowBookmark file doesn't work for a directory with a semic...2010-06-09Aaron Wells62010-07-091 Task Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a directory: /AUDIO;BOOKS
2. Place a file in it: /AUDIO;BOOKS/file.mp3
3. Start playing the file, and then create a bookmark
4. Do “List bookmarks” for the file
5. The bookmark menu lists something like this:

BOOKS/;file
0:02, 2, Shuffle

The problem seems to be that .bmark files use semicolons to separate the fields of information. If there’s a semicolon in the path, it thinks that it indicates the end of the path and the beginning of the filename.

10280PatchesConfigurationVery LowInitial work on the Samsung YP-P2 port2009-06-05Alain Trinh82010-08-196 Task Description

Hello, here's my current contribution to the Rockbox project: initial work on a port to the Samsung YP-P2. Right now, it's mostly just copied from the Cowon D2 port, but with some changes to reflect the P2's different LCD.

The LCD shows the picture undistorted, but it seems that the G channel is too strong. Perhaps this is due to the LCD being set to rgb666 mode, so it expects 6 bits from R and B, while Rockbox only gives 5 bits? I tried setting the LCD to rgb565 mode, but that only distorted the colors even more. In any case, suggestion for a fix would be great.

12568PatchesConfigurationVery LowiPod Classic - limit volume to +6db2012-01-29Albert Barca122012-02-134 Task Description

The iPod Classic Cirrus CS42L55 DAC+amp chip is specified to output audio up to +12dB versus the reference level (0.775V RMS) and the current Rockbox driver implements this accordingly (note that the OF limits the amplification to a lower level).

However, any amplification above +3dB applied to a 0dB signal results in serious clipping errors, the sound being distorted (oscilloscope measurements attached). This is not a surprise, given that +12dB translates in over 8V peak-to-peak output, way above what the iPod is capable of with its 3.7V battery.

Distortions aside, +12dB can be overkill for most of the earphones (depending on the sensitivity) and not a very pleasant experience. If you put the iPod in your pocket and forget to lock it you may experience this frequently.

In practice not all tracks have peaks reaching the 0dB level (actually nowadays this is quite common given the "loudness war"). To provide some room for additional amplification when needed, I found the +6dB limit to be a good compromise.

As discussed on the mailing list this patch gets rid of the “About to Erase Dynamic Playlist” warning and replaces it with a menu option to save the current playlist under it’s existing name.

The attached patch is a first cut for review as I’m just getting used to the menu system. If people think it’s the right way to go I’ll clean it up properly. Any suggestions for tweaks to the functionality also welcome.

7718PatchesPluginsVery LowNew Game/Plugin - Play Go and Pente (for 2 players)2007-09-06Alex dos Santos72009-02-164 Task Description

Hello,

This plugin is a game to be played in two.
I like to play go and pente and so is my wife (at least she plays pente) so I wrote this plugin.

I think the code is clear enough. I also used all the #ifdef that I knew.. so, I believe it wouldn’t break any compilation.

The plugin was tested on IPOD 5G (VIDEO) and works just fine. I also compiled it to a few more players without any problem.
I did not try to compile it for players that don’t have the lcd_update() function. It won’t work (at least this first version).

The board size in the LCD is based on WIDTH, since Sansa has width smaller than height you will lose part of the board (horizontally).
I just tested the code in sansa using the Simulator…

It is easy to fix and I will, but I’ll be traveling for a week (that’s why I wrote it, so I could play it while I wait in the airport/plane…) When I came back I will fix it.

Meanwhile, you guys can patch it or use it.
Feedbacks are also welcome.

Current Features:
- Save / Load games
- Pente / Go (Board 9×9, 13×13 and 19×19)
- Remove groups / stones automatically when they are dead

I attached the code and the “executable” for IPOD 5G (Video)

Enjoy!
Alex

9547PatchesPluginsVery LowRAttax2008-11-13Alex Suykov32009-06-195 Task Description

Rockbox port of XAttax (which is in turn X port of some ancient arcade game). It’s a strategy game similar to Reversi, played agains AI opponent.

The rules should be obvious once you run it. You can place new stone next to you own stones, or you can move already placed stone over a cell. Moved or newly places stone changes color of all adjacent stones. The player who has more stones at the end wins.

To install, apply patch and unpack tar’ed sources. It should build successfuly on all LCD-based targets; please report in case build fails for your particular device so I could fix it.

10601PatchesLCDVery LowKeyboard shortcuts to change backlight brightness2009-09-11Alex Suykov22009-09-121 Task Description

The patch makes Rec+Vol{Up,Down} in wps and list (main menu) contexts chage backlight brighness. Just like with volume, brightness value is saved in config file. I find this feature quite useful when player is used both indoors and outdoors, eps. on sunny days.

Keymap changes are for Sansa C200 only. Check apps/keymaps/keymap-<you-target>.c and add necessary lines to button_context_{standard,wps} if you use different device.

Diff against SVN revision 22666.

5757PatchesDriversVery LowCorrectly display short DOS file names in file browser2006-08-01Alexander Levin32006-08-053 Task Description

This is a sequel for  FS#5736 . It correctly displays the OEM-encoded short DOS file names.

Following code pages are supported: cp850 (western Europe), cp852 (central Europe), cp737 (greek), cp866 (cyriliic), cp862 (hebrew).

If you change the default code page (in the settings menu) and there are files that are displayed with the short DOS names, you’d better rebuild the dir cache (if it’s activated) since the UTF8-name of the file changes.

When I compile the modified sources, I get the following warning which I don’t understand:
CC common/unicode.c
common/unicode.c:136: warning: function declaration isn’t a prototype

Could anyone tell me what that means and what the reason is?

9356PatchesApplicationsVery LowAllow to set the delay before button repeat is activate...2008-09-02Alexander Levin12008-09-031 Task Description

The patch allows to set the delay after which the button repeat event is generated. Since this event is used to detect a long button press, it effectively sets this 'threshold.'

Slow fingered users may often hold the select button too long and (unintentionally) get the context menu. For instance, from the WPS screen. But they actually wanted to go to the file browser.

The patch adds a setting for that delay. Its default value is 30 ticks (=0.3s). The menu entry is in Settings → General Settings → System → Long Button Press Duration.

As of r19940, the lamp plugin is quit by pressing any key besides some which have a function in that plugin (or so is the intention –see bug report  FS#9877 ).

This patch changes the plugin so that it’s left with a special button only. The patch also adds key definitions for some players that haven’t been included before (players without color LCD). Key mappings were taken from the patch in FS#8934.

Essentially, this patch implements an atomic part of that patch.

Also, correct handling of USB has been added.

This is in preparation of a (separate) patch for toggling the light on and off without leaving the plugin.

10181PatchesFM TunerVery LowAllow the FM region to be set from a FMR file2009-05-01Alexander Levin12009-05-142 Task Description

Since FM stations list may require that the FM region is set to a certain value, it would be good if the FM region could be set along with the station list. The patch does just that.

The region is set by putting the line “region:N” into the FMR file (at any line there). N can be one of the values allowed for the fm_region setting.

The patch does not work on the simulators for e200 and h120 (the only two I tried) because, for some reason, the symbol HAVE_RADIO_REGION is not defined for them. Could anybody tell why?

Saving the region along with the station list is not implemented.

10440PatchesUser InterfaceVery LowAdd the possibility to toggle the pitch changing mode i...2009-07-15Alexander Levin12009-07-172 Task Description

As of r21894, the pitch changing mode (in the pitch screen) can only be toggled (cycled through) in one direction. However it would be handy to be able to cycle in the other direction to change procentual vs. semitone while still staying in the time stretch mode. This patch adds such a possibility.

The key mappings is only defined for H1xx and H3xx (as a long press of Mode). Please add keys for other platfroms.

11129PatchesManualVery LowMake screenshots in the manual non-floating2010-03-19Alexander Levin2010-03-191 Task Description

Screenshots in the manual are nested into a 'figure' environment, but the only purpose of this is to be able to have a caption. The floating feature of 'figure' by using the placement attribute 'H' (='Here!').

This patch makes screenshots non-floating while keeping captions below the images. This is done via the LaTeX package 'caption2'.

Placement attribute for figures is set back to the LaTeX default so that figures can really float should we need it.

12277PatchesThemesVery LowWPS tags for the list item number and the "divisible" o...2011-09-13Alexander Levin82011-09-182 Task Description

The patch adds two new WPS tags:

1. %Ln yields the number of the list item currently being drawn

2. The operator "/?" (which can be used in the %if tag) yields the string "div" if the first operant is divisible by the second and NULL otherwise.

With these two additions it should be possible to create themes where list items are coloured alternately (as an example).

The whole work has been done by gevaerts on 2011-09-12 (and all the credits also go to him), I only placed the patch to the patch tracker, changed the operator from "/" to "/?", and changed the function name from "skinlist_get_item" to "skinlist_get_item_number".

He posted the patch on the binpaste and it would be pity if it got lost.

The location for recordings can be set, but the only way to see the current value for the setting is to look into the config file. The patch adds a note stating that to the manual.

Also, there is a known bug ( FS#12517 ,  FS#12500 ) preventing saving the recorded files in the root directory (maybe this applies only to some targets, not all). The patch adds a warning about that.

8934PatchesPluginsVery LowColourful flashlight/lamp2008-04-25Alexander Papst302010-01-0114 Task Description

After reading the irc log shortly after the flashlight plugin was committed i noticed that some want the ability back to finetune the colour of the display. This time i’ve added a fixed point version of the hsv_to_lcd version (thanks to amiconn) and added some more predefined colours. You can “skip” forwards or backwards to the nearest predefined colour (however, it’s probably not the nicest way of doing it i guess).

I’ve also implemented another request to switch the backlight on and off (even for non colour targets) and it now uses the remote backlight too.

Controls:
Targets with a 4 button cross:
Up/Down: fine tune
Left/Right: jump to next predefined colours (including white)
Select: switch backlight on and off

Targets with scroll wheel:
Scroll left/right: fine tune
Left/right or fwd/rew: jump to next predefined colours (including white)
Select: switch backlight on and off

I’ve tried to guess the most intuitive button layout on all targets and even use the remote buttons. However i only own a small number of targets so if you think it can be done better let me know. :-)

Tested on iPod Video, Mini (sim), H300 (sim) and m:robe 100.

The code can be found in a github repository:

But there also are some other modification to be able to run it using the debug menu.

10916PatchesSimulatorVery LowAdd usb capability to simulator on Linux hosts2010-01-17amaury pouly32010-02-074 Task Description

This patch adds to the simulator the ability to simulate usb on a Linux host.
To do this, you'll need to download, build and install a device driver. You can download it here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usb-vhci/files/ Just download the "linux kernel module". See install instruction in it but it's make && make install. Of course you'll need root rights. There also a wiki about it (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/usb-vhci/index.php?title=Main_Page)

Now to have usb simulation works correctly you'll of course need to load the driver
modprobe vhci-hcd
And you'll probably need to edit the access rights of the device control device:
violent example: chmod 0666 /dev/vhci-ctrl
other example: chown root:<myself> /dev/vhci-ctrl
Or you can add a udev rule if you can make this work.

You can then run the simulator normally (note the the detection is at runtime so you don't need to have it work before launching the simulator).
Press 'u' to simulate usb insertion and 'u' once more the simulate usb removal.

Some miscellaneous remarks:
-the patch enables usb hid but for some reasons it doesn't work in main menu. However, the remote_control plugins works
-the patch enables usbserial which of no interest here but a way to test bulk transfers
-the patch DOESN'T enable usbstorage because storage simulation is a stub currently.

If it doesn't work, you can still uncomment this line in usb-drc.c:
/*#define USB_VHCI_DRIVER_DEBUG*/
And this line in usb-core.c:
/*#define LOGF_ENABLE*/
But beware ! Your console will end up full of obscure messages.

I'm particulary interested in compile feedback under Windows and OSX.
And of course I'm interested in working feedback ranging from device detection to working state (HID and usbserial) for example.

This patchs modifies the simulator so that it can emulate the storage layer. More preciserly, it enables all the storage code and simply redirect all storage_{read,write, …} to a file. This way, all fs functions used are the one of rockbox, which allows to debug the FAT code for example.

To run this, apply the patch and modify the makefile to add this: -DROCKBOX_SIMULATE_STORAGE_LAYER
to the line:
export GCCOPTS=….

When running the simulator, it expects to read from file simdisk.raw. You can change this by using the –root option:
./rockboxui –root <file>

The code doesn’t work for me, FAT code seems to choke on something for now, I’m not sure why.

9068PatchesGamesVery Low[chessbox] Playing with touchpad2008-06-03André Twupack112009-10-133 Task Description

This patch adds more touchpad functionality to the game. It is possible to play by selecting the pieces directly instead of using the simulated buttons.
The changes are:
1. Added touchpad_get_mode to the plugin API.
2. Added menu entry for touchpad devices the switch between button mode and direct mode.
3. The user’s default touchpad mode is save during start-up of the plugin and restored after quitting.
4. The direct input mode is set only during the game (not in menu or view).
5. Extended play loop to handle BUTTON_TOUCHPAD event.
6. A piece is selected by clicking twice on it, moving is also done by clicking the target field twice.

The patch has been tested on the COWON D2 and also seems to compile fine for devices w/o touchpad. The patch has been created with

svn diff -x -w apps > touch_chess.diff

in the root directory. It would be nice if someone could test this (also on non-touchpad devices) and give me some feedback (bugs and improvements).

This is the game Squarebloxx. It works on Color-LCDs only because colors are an essential part of the game. I tested it in the Simulator for all the color Boxes. I also tested it on my H340.
In the game you have to mark parts of an array of tiles. If the tiles in the corners of the mark are the same color, the marked area is done. If all tiles are done the level is finished.
Please give me feedback and report bugs.

10890PatchesBattery/ChargingVery LowDynamic runtime estimation (iPod Video, iPod nano 2G)2010-01-03Andree Buschmann142011-03-075 Task Description

This patch is a proof-of-concept for an adaptive runtime estimation.

Reason to implement such behaviour is that different user settings and user behaviour have large impact to the power consumption and – as a result – to the runtime. E.g. disabling LCD will save lots of power, but some users do not want to disable the LCD to keep readability in daylight.
This patch therefor adapts the estimation of runcurrent() based upon real measurements of the current consumption. The algorithm starts with a default (CURRENT_NORMAL which is defined in the config-file of each player) and uses a weighting scheme with a large time constant to adapt the estimation of the current consumption. The time constant is 1024, which should equal ~20 minutes as the runcurrent()-function is called once per second. With a smaller time constant the runtime estimation is “pumping” too much when the HDD is active.

This first version is just a hard coded experimental solution. Nevertheless something like an actual_current()-function can be implemented for each player in its own powermgmt-file. Players with capability to read the current will return this measured real current, all others still return the fixed default CURRENT_NORMAL.

This patch resorts the v-array within mpc’s synthesis filter. Through this data is placed more locally for the performance critical function mpc_decoder_windowing_D() and allows ldm-usage in the asm’ed parts.

The output is binary identical.

10698PatchesUser InterfaceVery LowCowon D2: Tactile button functions with hold switch on2009-10-21Andrew Beveridge272012-12-079 Task Description

This has been (slightly) discussed before, but this is a new take on the matter, not a repeat of  FS#10683 .

With this patch applied, the following functionality is recognised with the hold switch in place:

On any list/menu screen or the while playing screen;
pressing MINUS decreases volume by one,
pressing PLUS increases volume by one,
pressing MENU switches between Play and Pause,
holding MINUS skips back a track,
holding PLUS skips forward a track,
holding MENU advances to the next folder.

I feel that anybody using a Cowon D2 will find this functionality essential, not only because it is present in the original firmware, but because it is necessary for in-pocket operation.
With a small DAP like this, with tactile buttons as well as a touch screen, it makes sense to maximize convenience.

I have added as much functionality as I could without requiring pressing multiple buttons at once. I have made several similar patches and built them for members on the iAudiophile forums, and this configuration has consistently been the most popular.

I welcome any comments/suggestions.

Add support for two new scroll styles, STYLE_NODRAW and STYLE_CUSTOM, with STYLE_CUSTOM causing the draw to be done via a hook (set with lcd_set_style_hook). lcd_puts_stroll_style_offset also returns a struct scrollinfo pointer. This may be used in conjunction with STYLE_NODRAW to redraw the scrolling text in a plugin which draws other graphics to the same part of the screen, by drawing the text using the offset in the struct scrollinfo after the background graphics have been drawn. My latest patch from  FS#4817  is required, as it consolidates styled text drawing in one function, making it easier to replace the normal draw with a call to the hook, and reducing the binsize impact of this feature as well.

Support for core text scrolling in PictureFlow plugin to follow .

11891PatchesCodecsVery LowAdd mp3 gap skipping support to improve gapless playbac...2011-01-18Andrew Tefft292011-09-021 Task Description

As we know, rockbox will use the information provided by "good" mp3 encoders (e.g. LAME) to ignore the extra padding that occurs at the beginning and end of each mp3 file, so that true gapless playback can occur. Unfortunately we do not always have the luxury of encoding our mp3 files in this way but we might still want true gapless playback. This patch compensates for the use of "dumb" mp3 encoders that do not record the necessary information for this feature.

In cases where it does not detect the proper header information to trim off the extra padding, it will optionally skip up to a full frame of silence (or near silence) at the beginning and end of each track (if the trimming is already specified, this patch does not do any additional trimming).

This can potentially eliminate up to a frame of "real" silence at the beginning or end of a track, but in terms of audibility, that would be completely unnoticeable (and it would only happen on these badly-encoded tracks), while the extra silence is an audible annoyance.

I have added an option to the Playback Settings menu so that the user can disable it if desired.

This patch adds a frequency response graph below the equalizer's controls, making it an EQ that is actually "graphical". :-)

I'm still not sure about the accuracy of the represented curve, in particular the Q factor on the peaking filters seems to have an effect opposite to the expected, though the equations are taken from the same "audio EQ cookbook" the equalizer is based on, any help is appreciated!

The user interface is still incomplete, I want to add proper tags on the axes and bars. I also thought about re-enabling the theme on this screen (why is it disabled?) and change the behavior of the "right" button, making it consistent with other menus.

10959PatchesGamesVery LowBrickmania - Ball disappears. 2010-02-03Bert Wooster182012-08-123 Task Description

Running “current build” r24477-100203 on Sansa e200 V1

Game Brickmania bug:
The ball just disappears (often on Level 2, but maybe on others). Ball will just usually go to the top corner and not “bounce” back, but the game acts as if a ball is still alive (doesn’t register a lost ball) though there is no further movement on screen. I just have to quit the game.

The ball doesn’t bounce back. No further ball is issued. It just disappears and I can’t interact w/ the game anymore due to no active ball.

FIRST APPEARED: This began a few weeks ago (sorry I can’t be more specific), but has persisted in several “daily build” updates I’ve done and is in the current build I just installed.

REPRODUCIBLE: I reproduce the bug each time I just play through Brickmania. It generally happens in level 2 of the game though it may happen in subsequent levels– I don’t get through to them to see.

I’ve installed with rbuitil and manually, same thing happens. I have 2 different V1 e200s and it happens on both of them.

Thanks for all your work on the great Rockbox.

The trainer works with (three) cardboxes. Known cards will be moved from left to right to the next box, unknown to the first. You have finished the test if all cards are in the last box. The actual filling status of the boxes is graphically shown.

How the user handles the trainer during the test:
- a word is displayed
- the user thinks about the translation
- after pressing a button the solution is displayed
- the user decides by pressing the forward or backward button if he was right or wrong
- according the selection the card is shifted to the next box or to the first

Options:
- select vocabulary file
- reset (statistic) of vacabulary file
- change direction of inquiry

12312PatchesOperating System/DriversVery LowAndroid: Stop tick timer when app is closed2011-10-04Björn Stenberg2011-10-041 Task Description

Our tick timer eats CPU even when the app is closed and music is stopped. To fix this, I added a tick_pause() and tick_resume() to kernel-android.c, to be called from java when appropriate.

I've figured out where to call pause, but the current location of resume is inadequate. The app wakes up to a black screen.

A clue, anyone?

9621PatchesOperating System/DriversVery LowFAT read-ahead when filling buffer2008-12-10Boris Gjenero62010-03-263 Task Description

I noticed that when filling the buffer my Video iPod (32MB RAM) does noticeable seeks at semi-regular intervals even if reading from a single non-fragmented file. It seems this is due to having to read the next FAT sector. In firmware/drivers/fat.c there is a FAT cache but no read-ahead of the FAT.

I created fat_preload( struct fat_file *file, long sectorcount ) in firmware/drivers/fat.c to preload the FAT cache. In firmware/common/file.c I created file_preloadfat(int fd, size_t count) because calling a fat_ function directly would be too much of a kludge. I use file_preloadfat in apps/buffering.c just before filling the buffer.

This got rid of that regular seeking and it seems to it can remove about two seconds from the time needed to fill the buffer when reading a single non-fragmented file. Currently the code is quite simple and unintelligent. Fragmentation or other activity can overwrite the pre-loaded FAT sectors in the cache, and in such cases the pre-load leads to needless extra reads. More work is probably needed before this can be included in Rockbox.

Currently this patch is for SW-codec only. I think file_preloadfat could be called from HW-codec buffering code also, though few seeks would be prevented with 2MB of RAM. This patch is also probably useless with flash storage.

9746PatchesDriversDeferDrive PP502x IDE pins low when IDE power is off, saving...2009-01-02Boris Gjenero162010-03-205 Task Description

The OF ide_power_enable routine sets some GPIO _ENABLE bits to zero when enabling power and sets them to 1 when disabling power. This makes a difference of about 1 in 4066_ISTAT ( FS#9728 ) on my 30 gig iPod, which probably means saving about 0.75 mA. But if 1 is enable, why does enabling pins save power?

9787PatchesDriversVery LowiPod 5G TV out2009-01-12Boris Gjenero222009-03-094 Task Description

Here is a preliminary patch for TV out on a 5th generation iPod. Play a BMP file and TV out will activate. NTSC is the default. If the file has 576 lines, the output will be in PAL. The image stays until another is loaded or TV output is disabled via the debug menu..

The following formats ought to work:
720×480, 24 bpp for NTSC
720×576, 24 bpp for PAL
Many programs including Windows Paint and ImageMagick convert can write such files. Other resolutions and bit depths may work. For example WPS background screens display properly but other WPS bitmaps don’t.

Known issues:
- More work needs to be done to integrate this with Rockbox. No, you cannot view the Rockbox interface, JPEGs or mpegplayer output yet.
- When the LCD is updated, there is a temporary disturbance on TV output
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macrovision#Analog_copy_prevention is enabled. Yes, the hardware can disable it, but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet.
- The original firmware probably outputs images differently. It can load programs into the BCM which perform decoding there, and that is probably faster.

10034PatchesLCDVery LowiPod Photo, Color: LCD sleep and proper LCD shutdown2009-03-19Boris Gjenero102010-06-234 Task Description

This patch implements HAVE_LCD_SHUTDOWN functionality for Photo and Color iPods. It is in response to issue 2 in http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=20994 : “2. The LCD screen on the iPod is not cleared properly when I shut down rockbox. I see 1-2 horizontal lines remain on the screen (which do fade after a minute or so). Nothing is wrong with my IPod’s LCD screen as I did not experience this with Apple’s Firmware”

It seems the Color iPod can have 4 different LCDs. They’re detected via two GPIO bits in lcd-color_nano.c. Types 0 and 2 are the old LCD with an unknown controller and they use the same init, shutdown and update procedures, and they are reported as 0. Types 1 and 3 are similar to HD66789R. They have different init and shutdown procedures but they share the same update procedure. Both 1 and 3 were reported as 1 earlier.

To see what LCD type you have, from the main menu go to System → Debug (Keep Out) → View HW Info and then see the number after “LCD type:”.

This patch has only been tested with LCD type 3 so far.

I am submitting this as a patch because I feel it is not a significant bug. Theoretically, the DC voltage that’s left can degrade the LCD, but the line fades quickly and no negative after-effects were reported.

I would like to also add LCD initialization code and develop HAVE_LCD_SLEEP functionality.

9330PatchesRbutilVery Lowpatch for openBSD support for ipodpatcher2008-08-28Brian22008-10-083 Task Description

The following patches will allow someone running openBSD to run ipodpatcher. This is my first pass at these patches, so they cannot be integrated without some problems.

A few outstanding questions remain:

1) should I use /dev/sd0c or /dev/rsd0c?

2) why do byteorder(3) functions exist in fat32format.c?

3) how do the developers want to handle disk geometry?

I ask the last question because my patch overwrites the existing ioctl with what works for openBSD, rather than separate it out. And the patch doesn't fully use what is available in struct disklabel. I plan to re-write this one.

The fat32format.diff comments out byteorder(3) functions. The ipodio-posix.diff converts the file to openBSD disk geometry. The ipodpatcher.diff corrects the device used.

I have only tested the patches above for ipodpatcher on iPod nano 1st gen.

8183PatchesGamesVery LowThe Case Game - (Deal or No Deal variant)2007-11-19Brian Morey402019-03-0534 Task Description

The Case Game

Here is a variant of Deal or No Deal for Rockbox.

26 cases contain random amounts of virtual money. After choosing 1 case for yourself, you open the other cases until the banker makes you an offer to buy your case. If you choose to accept the offer the game ends and you receive that offer as your final score. By declining the offer, you continue to open the remaining cases until the next offer. If you decline all offers you get the amount that was in your case as your final score. If play continues until your down to 1 case plus the case you chose, you are given the option to swap cases.

Gameplay controls:

() While opening cases: pressing UP shows the remaining case amounts.

pressing DOWN shows the high scores.

() While deciding on an offer: pressing UP shows the previous offers.

pressing DOWN shows the high scores.

This game allows name entries into a high score board.

This game currently only works on color lcd screens (Sansa e200 176×220) or greater.

Apply the patch and place the .bmp files in the “apps/plugins/bitmaps/native/” directory.

Please post results for other platforms as well as comments. I tested the game out on the Gigabeat simulator and it seemed to work well.
