10481 | Bugs | Games | Very Low | Doom Gets a Data Abort Error | 2009-07-31 | Sendy Friedlander | 2010-05-24
Task Description
On the Official Test Build for the Sansa Fuze, when playing Doom, in middle of playing, Rockbox gives a Data Abort Error. If it doesn't happen in middle of playing, it is always reproducible by entering the second Map. The most recent error i got is "Data Abort at 307B32D4". My Version is "r21704-090707".
It happened once just browsing through the Menu, but is only reproduced every time by playing Doom, which is why I filed it under Doom.
I will try to try a later revision and see if it fixes the bug.

11962 | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Very Low | Player and Filetransfer freeze during USB file transfer | 2011-02-23 | not relevant | 2011-08-18
Task Description
The interface of my Sansa Fuze and the file transfer freeze randomly when transferring large amounts of data. If the player runs in Bootloader USB mode everything is fine.
I guess this could break the vfat file system, making this a nasty bug. Disabling Key and Mouseemulation did not help. As long as this isn't fixed, a solution would be to start the player in Bootloader USB mode by default. I don't know if this is possible though, since I don't know the the technical details of rockbox very well.
Beside that everything works just great, keep up the good word!
PS.: I'm using Debian with different kernels. I couldn't see any differences between different kernel versions regarding this issue. Intels Linux USB drivers and the Linux USB stack in general usually work excellent as far as I know, therefore I would blame it on rockbox (no offense :)).

12671 | Bugs | User Interface | Very Low | In Rockbox for Android it is not possible to highlight ... | 2012-05-11 | Dieter | 2012-05-21
Task Description
In Rockbox for Android it is not possible to highlight an entry in a list without selecting (entering) it.
For example, if I am in the playlist viewer showing the list of just playing songs with my ipod (running rockbox) I was able to scroll through the list which moved the higligting bar through the list and then I could select the desired entry by pressing enter. With the touchscreen I found no way only to highlight a certain entry.
This is important if all entries are very long and have the same starting text. For example "Ludwig von Beethoven, Symphony No. 9 - 1. Adagio" cannot be distinguished from "Ludwig von Beethoven, Symphony No. 9 - 2. Andante" in the playlist viewer since the distinguishing part is cut off. With my ipod I could highlight the entries with the scroll wheel and the highlighted line started horizontally scrolling so I could see the complete text. With the Android port I can only touch the line, but touching the line does not only highlight it but also selects it and so starts playing.
This problem also exists in other list with long entries and happens with all version I compiled until now (latest was a12b2a5).

12769 | Bugs | Bootloader | Very Low | rb 3.12 - iriver H140 bootloader crash: 1st boot fails,... | 2012-10-19 | Leo H. | 2013-07-06
Task Description
Rockbox Info: Version: 3.12
Device: iRiver H140, 80GB Toshiba MK8009GAH 8mm 1.8" IDE HDD 8mm
BUG: Repeatable, Consistent.
Additional Information: 1. To verify that I had a good installation of the 3.12 version of the Rockbox firmware working, I have reformatted, and re-flashed rockbox 3.12 two seperate times after initially encountering this, duplicating this behavior. So it doesn't seem to be a bad firmware flash.
Expected Behavior: 1. Player should Power On and boot properly every single time the bootup sequence is initiated correctly (Play Button pressed when Player is in a Powered Off state).
Buggy Behavior: 1. Player Powers Up, then locks up (i.e. "crashes") during bootloader sequence, requiring a hard reset, and upon second boot, finally Powers On and boots properly, bringing up a functional session of the Main User Interface. This is repeatable, and consistent.
Bug Symptoms & How To Repeat: 1. Consistently the Player will lock up during first "boot" sequence. The bootloader will usually reach the text stage, and sometimes crash here. Sometimes the bootloader will get through the text stage and reach the Rockbox Logo and then crash here. The Main User Interface is never reached upon first "boot" sequence. 2. The result of the first "boot" lockup (i.e. "crash") requires that I reset the Player by inserting a paperclip into the Reset hole (on the bottom plate of the Player) and triggering the button hidden in there. This Powers Down the Player, and Resets the Firmware, leaving the Player ready to be Powered On again. 3. Upon the second "boot", the Player will "boot" and the bootloader will make it past the text stage, the Rockbox Logo stage, and then spin up the HDD properly; the bootloader will not lock up the firmware, and behaves 'normally', finally resulting in a completed boot up sequence with the Main User Interface coming up (as a user would expect). The Player is now ready to use.

12863 | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Very Low | Fuze+ freezes if volume and bass are set high | 2013-05-23 | William | 2014-01-12
Task Description
Playback halts. No error screen appears – screen seems to stay where it is when freeze occurs, i.e. WPS or back light off.
Tested multiple audio formats.
Does not occur if no head phones are plugged in.
If you play a song for a bit at low volume (tested -14dB) before raising the volume, it is okay.
To reproduce: Find a loud, bass-heavy part of a song, and halt playback right there. Set volume to 6dB. Set bass to 14. Resume playback.
Usually freezes in less than a second when I do that.

12955 | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Very Low | Rockbox daily not turning off once notebook is shut dow... | 2014-02-28 | Ali Akcaagac | 2014-03-01
Task Description
Hello
I run rockbox daily (last update 27 Feb 2014) and found an issue that I like to report. I have my sandisk clip zip connected to an external USB hub, which is connected to my notebook. Today I left the sandisk clip zip connected and turned the notebook off. I expected that the player will disconnect from the USB hub → blanks the screen after 20-30 seconds (depending on the setup) and then turns off after a while (depending on the setup). Unfortunately the last step won't happen.
The sandisk clip zip really disconnected from the USB connection (the usb picture disappears from the display) with the notebook going back into the rockbox menu (Play, Radio, Settings, Recording etc.) and after a while also blanks the screen as expected.
Unfortunately it does NOT turn itself off as it would if you leave it entirely unconnected (unwired) with the USB. The sandisk clip zip starts to turn the screen on again after a while, turns off again, turns on again after a while, turns off etc.
I had to plug off the mini USB connection (the wiring between the player and the usb hub) so it turns off and shuts down after a while.
What I believe is, that the USB subroutines might not know the difference between powered on notebook and powered off notebook. It only knows that it's wired and thus tries to turn the player on again after it blanks. It should really be possible to keep the player connected (and wired) when the notebook shuts down and have the player shut down as well (after blanking and then turning itself off).
Could this be reviewed and maybe worked on ?
Thanks so far.

13083 | Bugs | Music playback | Very Low | Ipod Classic playback jumping | 2016-09-16 | Emanuel | 2019-10-24
Task Description
Hi, I've been using the development version of Rockbox in my ipod classic 6th generation for about two years I think, but from some time, like a month or two, I'm experiencing playback issues as the track I'm listening suddenly skip forward or backward, or even jump for a few seconds on another mp3 file inside the ipod I was just listening before. I don't think is a ipod issue because I can listen the file inside the ipod with my computer player without problems.
There some way I can check older development revisions for the classic? It appears that it doesn't show in the dev build link on the site because is not fully supported. Thanks

I am trying to build Rockbox for Sony NWZ-380 from Git repo, commit ce0b31d87db3c4c1c1bfb535c50770d33e9c4aaf. arm-elf-eabi-gcc version 5.4.0, ARM binutils 2.30. Everything goes smooth until just the latest step where this happens:
… LD duke3d.ovl LD bmp.ovl LD jpeg.ovl LD png.ovl LD ppm.ovl LD gif.ovl LD rockbox.elf /usr/libexec/gcc/arm-elf-eabi/ld: section .ARM.exidx VMA [00000000600a9548,00000000600a954f] overlaps section .bss VMA [00000000600a7f20,00000000600ff773]
I'm using Rockbox on my NWZ-384 for a couple of years now and there were no problems building it in the past. I also was very glad that NWZ-380 port reached stable status in 3.14, but now something seems to be broken (not terrible it seems, just requires some adjustments to the linker scripts but still).

Task Description
- What behaviour you are seeing
Rockbox 17612-080523 on an iRiver H340 skips entire tracks, and also skips within tracks, when the battery level falls below 30%
- What behaviour you expected
No skipping.
- How to reproduce the bug
Allow the battery level to fall below 30% and start playing a directory of files. Some files will be skipped, some files will have parts skipped in the middle.
- The SVN revision you are using and if possible the particular SVN revision in which you think the bug was introduced.
17612-080523, no idea when the bug started.
If you need any further info on this bug, please ask and I’ll give more details. I have no other hardware to test whether this behaviour occurs on other Rockbox platforms.

9413 | Bugs | Battery/Charging | Very Low | Rockbox (and bootloader) mistakes battery for USB. | 2008-09-22 | Paul Skinner | 2008-09-24
Task Description
This may represent other players as well.
I installed a new battery on my iriver, a 2100 mAh that is working perfectly. The problem however, is that when fully charged, the voltage holds up to 4.12 volts, and until it drains to somewhere under 3.9 volts, Rockbox thinks that it is powered via USB, so naturally Rockbox gets stuck in USB mode until the battery is drained enough for Rockbox to realize that it IS a battery. With this problem at hand, I have to charge my iriver to only less than seventy percent of its battery life, or else wait for an hour or so to drain it to that point. I HAVE tested it in its original firmware, like I said, works perfectly. The problem lies with Rockbox thinking that the battery is a USB charger. I am asking for a fix around this. Is there a way that I can modify Rockbox so that it may understand that it is running off of a battery that will get up to 4.12 volts and not mistake that for USB power? I just now thought to turn off the “Charge During USB Connection,” maybe that will solve the problem; I will get back when I find out whether or not that works. However, I would still like to request a work around for this problem. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

10706 | Bugs | Drivers | Very Low | Tag DB Never Builds | 2009-10-22 | Brian Sutherland | 2011-05-19
Task Description
I am running 3.4 on a 5.5G iPod modified with a 240gb drive. Rockbox is stock 3.4 with LBA48 added in and the max sector size turned off. The database was working ok on 3.3. Only issue was it took forever to add new files. After upgrading to 3.4 I noticed every time I powered on rockbox would lock up in the menus for up to 10 minutes before functioning normally. So I completely removed the .rockbox dir (including the database files of course) and re-expanded a fresh copy. I then tried to init the db. It runs until it is around ~44k files and 99% and then just sits there. If left alone it will eventually just turn it self off. When I turn it back on it will ask me to init the db again. I have seen it try to commit once or twice but it never takes. I am not really sure how to debug this at this point. Also in the debug disk info area, it things my drive is 131071MB. Under Rockbox Info it says 223GB which is better, but these two things are the same as in 3.3. All my Oggs are converted via a script I wrote from my flacs. I do not believe my flacs have any art, I am not even sure you can store art in a flac tag and even them I don’t think the ogg encoder is transferring them. I ran a tag dump (ogginfo) against my oggs and do not see anything to do with album art. I had 4 files on the device with album art. They were all in a directory with a database.ignore file. So they should not have been noticed. Just in case I removed that directory and rebuilt. It went though 44k files, commited 1-9 and then went back to “scanning” but the disk activity had stopped. Upon reboot it asked me to init the db again.
This is not a patched build. I simply changed the config to include large drive support. This is an issue that needs to be looked at. Please check into it, I will be happy to test any ideas.

Task Description
EQ settings changed via Touchscreen WPS action setting_inc & setting_dec are not reflected in the sound output of the device even though they display having been changed in the menus. The changes are also not written to the main config file on disk so they do not "stick" after Rockbox has been rebooted.
example syntax to toggle EQ on/off (display DOES get toggled): %T(148,520,54,46,setting_dec,eq enabled) %T(148,520,54,46,&setting_inc,eq enabled) %xl(E,eq.bmp,0,0) %V(148,520,54,46,-) %?St(eq enabled)<%xd(E)|>

11995 | Bugs | Drivers | Very Low | screendump problems caused by r29445 | 2011-03-07 | Michael Chicoine | 2011-12-07 | 1 |
Task Description
r29445 introduced problems with screendump on sansa e200 and e200v2 (and possibly more). Screendump works properly with r29444.
Steps to reproduce:
1. delete or backup existing .rockbox directory 2. install r29445 (or later) 3. reboot 4. navigate to System → Debug (Keep Out!) → Screendump and press select to enable 5. attach USB cable to trigger screendump
On e200, this results in: *PANIC* Stkov usb (0)
on e200v2, this results in a deadlock - no keypad response - backlight & button light never timeout. Upon reboot, multiple dump files exist.
On e200v2 only, when dircache is disabled, screendump will function properly.

The player (Sansa Clip Zip) appears to refuse or unable to play some of my WMA tracks; as far as I can tell, the problem is specific to my WMA Pro files only as it plays none of them (but works with WMA2 successfully). I have attached one of the examples.
I understand that a similar issue was reported recently (in FS#12619 ) although, in my case, the player doesn’t start playing and skips to the next immediately, rather than playing part of the track.

12961 | Bugs | Operating System/Drivers | Very Low | Rockbox Android runs on emulator but not on my phone. | 2014-03-18 | Deo Favente | 2014-04-20 | 1 |
Task Description
For the last couple of weeks, I can’t get Rockbox to run anymore on my phone. I use Rasher’s build, which used to work fine. I even built one on my own, but it still doesn’t work. I tried running it on the emulator and it worked fine. I am not sure what is wrong, reading the logcat gets me nowhere because I don’t really understand most of it. I have attached the logcat here. I do not know if I’m the only one having this problem.
I tried various method to get it working again on my phone, I even tried resetting my phone in case if I messed up somewhere. I also noticed this when I was trying out another ROM for my phone, which runs on Gingerbread 2.3.7. I thought it was the ROM’s problem, so I changed back to the ROM that I frequently use, which used to had no problems at all running Rockbox. The last working build was on 01 March 2014, after that, nothing works anymore on my phone.
The only possibility that I can think of is that my phone is outdated and the kernel or the ROM is missing something crucial to run the latest Rockbox builds. Other than that, I have no idea. I hope the logcat attached could help you identify this problem. Thank you in advance.
Build version: 915bc09-140318 Last working build (on phone): unknown revision, dated 01 March 2014 Phone: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android: 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (CyanogenMod 10) Emulator: 4.1.2 (API 16) with same screen dimension.

9056 | Bugs | Codecs | Very Low | AC3 playback does not work for single ripped songs | 2008-05-30 | Przemysław Hołubowski | 2011-04-18
Task Description
RB does not play AC3 tracks which were extracted from DVD with splitting one-track/one-song (splitting by chapters).
In other words - if you extract single AC3 song RB will not be able to play it back, despite the fact foobar2000 and Winamp with AC3Filter plugin will play it fine.
It is not a problem related to extracting software as the problem occurs for AC3 files saved by DVD Audio Extractor and SmartRipper. (Files saved by them are bit-bit the same as file comparison showed).
Simulator does not display any debugging info when you try to play AC3 file which RB is unable to play.
AC3 playback is not completely broken because RB plays AC3 files if you extracted full AC3 track without splitting it.

Task Description
I have only tested this on my H120 with an 18007 build. I have been using the APE codec for some time now and never had a problem in the past.
After reformatting my hard drive and installing the current build I found that rockbox has 2 problems with my APE files
1. The parser for APE files no longer recognizes my APE files encoded with version 8,9 of Jriver Media Center. Result is that files don't play when selected in the file browser and these files do net get added to the database.
2. When switching APE tracks one of two possible behavior occur. a) the Iriver freezes completely. b) On switching tracks there is a loud hiss and then playback of the next track resumes.
Cheers

Where possible (i.e. the buttons aren’t needed for somethinig else), the PLAY button should go straight to the WPS (resuming as required) or radio.
These are almost the case, but on the H300 there are the following exceptions:
- Rockbox Info (PLAY performs the disk free space scan, same as SELECT) - Playlist Viewer when selected from the Main > Playlists menu (PLAY returns to the menu above, same as LEFT) - Sleep Timer (PLAY does nothing) - Debug Manu (PLAY enters the selected item, same as SELECT) - Browse x in Settings, where x = Themes, Fonts or .cfg/.wps/.rwps Files (PLAY returns to the menu above, same as LEFT). (Note that the plugin browser works fine!)
Similarly, the STOP button should stop playback, which is largely ok, except:
- In the Playlist Viewer (STOP does nothing)
I don’t have any other targets handy, but feel free to add any other suspect screens here.

12417 | Bugs | Music playback | Very Low | Audio crackling problem on Fuze v2 | 2011-11-30 | Tucker Cane | 2012-07-30 | 1 |
Task Description
I have RockBox version 3.9 on my Sansa Fuze v2 and so far I love it, but I have one problem. On a few tracks in my library, when I play them, the first few minutes of the song will be strangely distorted. Most of them are songs where the music starts off in just one of the speakers before moving into the other one. There will be bursts of loud, crackly noise in the other speaker during these first few seconds (that seem to be in time with the music) and then it will fix itself and the rest of the song will play perfectly. When I boot the default Sandisk firmware the songs play perfect like they should, it is only in RockBox that this glitch happens. I’ve messed with the settings a bit and even reset them completely, but nothing has worked thus far.
Attached is one of the songs that this happens with, from about 2 seconds in to about 7 seconds in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really want to enjoy my music without that crap in it.

If Rockbox is connected via USB with no sd card inserted and it is inserted, it offers the OS to mount the new drive. If the sd card is removed and reinsterted again, it fails to offer and recognize it.
I could locate the problem in firmware/usbstack/usb_storage.c in the line
if(inserted && check_disk_present(IF_MD(volume))) {
after reinserting the card, check_disk_present fails to return true, so this check fails and the card isn't recognized anymore.

12558 | Bugs | Settings | Very Low | Some core_alloc users do not handle failures | 2012-01-22 | Lorenz | 2012-01-30 | 1 |
Task Description
If loading a config file that holds all configuration settings (Settings → Manage Settings - Save .cfg File) from Rockbox 3.9.1 in Rockbox 3.10 or the daily builds for Archos Recorder with Firmware V3, the player will not bootup correctly on the next restart and show:
I 4: IllInstr
directly at booting. I then press "On" again and get:
*PANIC* Stkov main
and the HD shuts down. If I press "On" again, the same loop continues.
The problem can only be resolved by plugging the player to USB, removing the rockbox directory and copying it again from the newest daily build or 3.10, then restart. It boots up fine again then. Doing the previous settings manually on 3.10 or the daily builds and then saving / loading them works fine and the player won´t have the boot-bug anymore.
I have attached the config file that creates the problem.

12614 | Bugs | Database | Very Low | Bug while seeking on Sansaclip+ | 2012-03-13 | Alan | 2012-05-09
Task Description
Hi, firstly i put Sansa c200 because SansaClip+ is not available in the list. My player is a Sandisk SansaClip+ bought 6 months ago with an 8Gb class 4 Sandisk microsd (that is currently empty, no songs stored).
Steps to reproduce the issue (after a fresh installation of the Firmware, no settings changed):
1) Switch on 2) → database 3) → track 4) select any track 5) press the central button 6) Erase Dynamic Playlist? is displayed.. Select Yes 7) countdown then starts to play 8) Seek to the next song (it happens at the first seek or might need three, four one after the other)
Data abort at 30813E44 FSR 0x8 (domani 0, fault 8) address 0x62E90028
- I installed version 3.10 on top of version 3.09, but later on I tried to uninstall completely 3.10 and reinstall it from scratch and the issue is the same.
- After the crash i have to keep the "switchoff" button pressed for a while.. then I press it again to restart the player and I try to resume the song I get "playlist control file is invalid" or "nothing to resume"
- behavior is the same with or without the SD card
- The issue was randomly happening (but very very rarely) also on the previous version of the firmware (3.09) I got the error a couple of times in 6 months.

Every time I try to set my theme to ThinBasic in Rockbox 3.11.2 on my nano 1g, a panic occurs. I only tried this in 3.11.2 so I'm not sure if older versions have this problem too.

Task Description
So far there's still two problem which have never been fixed on Android: 1.When opening Rockbox, its volume bump to max automatically whatever it was when last quit; 2.On most HTC(and probably other) devices one can't use physical volume keys to adjust. Volume bars in WPS and SBS work well however.
Hopes the fixes!

12759 | Bugs | Themes | Very Low | Various RDS issues (Clip Zip, YP-R0) | 2012-09-30 | Ludovic Jacques | 2015-02-25 | 1 |
Task Description
I noticed various RDS-related issues on my Clip Zip and Samsung R0
1) Sansa Clip Zip With the latest builds (for example version 341e2c4-120929) I noticed the RDS text just behaves crazy, like blinking for no reason and displaying strange characters. Besides, the RDS name won't display most of time or at least needs much time to display. When reverting back to an older build (0c4bd3a-120406 for example), the RDS name displays quickly and for all stations now and the RDS text is just displaying and scrolling normally. Tested and noticed with my theme lebellium Samsung -like: http://themes.rockbox.org/index.php?themeid=1681 and with the various DFKT Minimum Zip themes (this one for example: http://themes.rockbox.org/index.php?themeid=1539 ) screenshots of the issue: http://imageshack.us/a/img855/8724/dump120926124155.png http://imageshack.us/a/img837/2154/dump120926124439.png
2) Samsung YP-R0 In addition to the RDS issues reported for the Zip above that also exist on the R0, it seems that the RDS text makes the device crash after a few seconds or minutes with my theme lebellium Samsung-like (version 1.60 beta to download in attachment). I found 2 unsatisfying ways to bypass this annoying crash: -Remove the %s scrolling tag for the RDS text, that is to say replace "%s%ac%tz" by "%ac%tz". But that's not a good solution since then the RDS text is cut off. The %tz tag only makes sense when associated with a %s tag and all other themes supporting RDS use it and work well that way. -Replace the RDS text font (currently 20-DroidSans-Bold.fnt) by another font from the Rockbox Font Pack. As I want a nice anti-aliased font, the only acceptable alternative I found is the Ubuntu Bold font. But this font makes the device crash too…
So I just hope there is a bug somewhere that can be fixed?

Task Description
Sans Clip V2
24bit 96000 Hz 6 Channel (5.1) FLAC files skip to next song after 30 seconds. 30 seconds is an estimate because my screen is broken, so I can’t see what’s happening. I downloaded a daily build 3 days ago, but I think it’s a buffering issue. Flac is 8181 kbps (says Foobar).
It’s the first time I tried these files, so I don’t know if they ever worked, or ever will. If they never will work, I’m sorry for reporting this.
Thank you all for your time and efforts.

When the dc jack is plugged in to charge while the player is not running (switched off), the display says ‘ATA Error -11’. It can’t be reset except by removing the batteries and dc jack. I ran an older build from last year and it works fine.

Task Description
Recipe: 1) Play an album. Wait until buffering completes. 2) Skip from track 1 to track 2. No buffering occurs. 3) Skip from track 2 to track 1. No buffering occurs. 4) In the playlist viewer, select track 2. Rebuffering occurs, even though the track is buffered.
The same problem occurs in the opposite direction (e.g. after step 2, it should be possible to switch to track 1 using the playlist viewer without rebuffering).

9205 | Bugs | Codecs | Very Low | WMA Decoder - Problematic Files (Gaps/Skipping) - Examp... | 2008-07-19 | Andrew Beveridge | 2011-04-20 | 2 |
Task Description
Hello World :) Attached is a VBR WMA music file, which fails to play correctly on my “RockPod” iPod Nano. The same file decodes perfectly using the latest ffmpeg build. Therefore I can only assume there is something about this file which triggers a bug in the Rockbox-specific WMA decoder. Also attached is a microphone recording of the sound which comes out of my iPod when Rockbox attempts to play the faulty WMA.
I have over 3000 WMA tracks, all encoded using an identical method, all of which will not play correctly in rock box, so if you would like any more examples, or information, please ask.
Thanks for all your help :) (If there is any way I can help debug/update the code for the wma decoder, please let me know where to start, I understand the C source code pretty well)
~Andrew

Task Description
I installed release 3.3 on my Sansa e260. 3.2 worked. On 3.3, volume controls work fine in normal playback mode, but when I switch to FM Radio, they are ignored. If I switch back to normal playback mode, I can set the volume level again, just not while listening to the radio.

10966 | Bugs | LCD | Very Low | c200 v1 LCD doesn't turn on when changing Backlight set... | 2010-02-04 | Daniel Empie | 2011-04-04
Task Description
As the title states the c200 v1 LCD doesn't turn on when changing the Backlight setting from Off to On. The backlight itself does turn on though. I don't know if this happens with the v2 players.
I first noticed this behavior in r24404 earlier today on my c240. I then updated the player to r24511-100204 and get the same behavior as before. I also get the same behavior in another c240 v1 player that I have which I also updated to r24511-100204. It was previously running r20698-090412 and the backlight didn't turn on when changing the backlight from off to on (I'm guessing that FS#10130 fixed that problem) - so it happened sometime between that revision and at least as far back as r24404. It might have even carried over from FS#10130 .
Also, just as a note, I don't notice this behavior in the February 2nd c200 simulator (r24449) - both the backlight and LCD turn on as expected. I checked my v1 Fuze (r24509) also and get normal behavior (backlight and LCD turn on), so this bug might just be limited to the c200 players.

Task Description
When the battery is nearly empty and the iriver H10 is about to shutdown, the volume sometimes suddenly increases progressively, as if the volume UP button was pressed and held down, all the way up to the maximum.
This has happened to me about 3-4 times so far. Pressing the volume DOWN button somewhat counters this bug, but only for as long as the DOWN button is used - the volume keeps increasing.
This occurs with Rockbox Release 3.5 (not 3.4 as the Report Version field of the ticket says).

11355 | Bugs | Music playback | Very Low | Auto-Change Directory crashes hardwarecodec players | 2010-06-05 | Marianne Arnold | 2012-01-14 | 1 |
Task Description
When the option “Auto-change directory” is enabled, my Ondio crashes at the end of the current folder’s playlist when it would have to create a new one.
The error it shows is “I09: CPUAdrEr at 09010FF8”. The address varies a bit with the actual revision, this example is with r26246 and an OndioFM backlight build (but the problem is present in plain SVN builds too). Looking at the map file shows that the crash happens in the cue_find_current_track function.
Bisecting build turned up that the error was introduced with the cuesheet rework in r21978/9 and the fix in 21982 fixed usual folder playback but not auto-change directory. It is reproducible on the Archos Recorder so I assume a general hwcodec problem.
