FS#11073 - Nano 2G, File opperation crash

Build r24993

Rockbox crashes when renaming files, deleting files, copying files and moving files.

Might be related might be not, Rockbox crashes when running crypt_firmware.

Stack size has been increased for now. There are different problems during file access right now, see  FS#11091  for details. Those will be fixed soon. crypt_firmware might still be broken.

I do not like to restart my iPod every time I encounter this problem, please correct that issue.

Me too, thats really annoying, especially when i must restore Ipod firmware after crash and copy all my songs again to Ipod.

We’re currently investigating where all those stkov’s (stack overflows) are coming from. The root cause is that the iPod Nano 2G has 2048-byte sectors, while every other Rockbox-compatible device has 512-byte sectors on it’s storage device. This results in higher memory usage for some things that access the storage, and if this gets too much, as stkov will be the result.
Which directory nesting level did that happen with?

BTW, to avoid having to restore the firmware all the time (and help me test it), you could install iLoader, which can recover from most of those crashes.

Ok, thanks for the temp. fix

I increased the stack size for now. Does it work with the latest revisions again?

Umm I am having some trouble compiling right now.

Make: *** No rule to make target ‘/home/user/roxkbox/apps/codecs/libmusepack/musepack.h’, needed by ‘home/user/rockbox/build_nano2g/apps/codecs/mpc.o. Stop.

Thank you Michael!
