FS#1201 - MP3pro
“The mp3-decoding hardware can only play MP3.
We cannot make it play other sound formats.”
You state the above in your FAQ. My Jukebox
Recorder20 plays MP3pro just fine. This is on the
Archos firmware v1.28. Please explain?!

MP3Pro is backwards compatible with
MP3. It
contains extra
information which is
ignored by an ordinary MP3 decoder. It
will play, but it will sound a lot
worse that it would with
an MP3Pro
decoder.
So yes, Rockbox can play MP3Pro files, but it sounds bad.
