FS#12045 - Sansa Clip+ cracking noise in left channel

There is a crackling noise in the left channel of the Clip+ on any headphone and on any eq and bass and treble setting. It happens randomly, not on harsh bass or trebles. There is also a low constant hiss during audio playback.

Is this the same bug as FS#11915 ?

It seems similar, but I do not notice any repeating every 4 seconds and I can't recall the hiss during no playback.

I have tried the newest release, and the problem remains.

With newest release do you mean 3.8.1 or a recent build?

Do you have any CPU-intensive effects enabled, such as timestretch? It would be best if you attached your /.rockbox/config.cfg file to your reply. Thanks!

The config.cfg file is attached. Timestretch is on, but I have always used it, including on the Sansa e200, which, from what I can tell, has a much slower system. I have not heard the cracking lately on my bose ei2 headphones, but there is still a lot of background noise. I am having trouble achieving a rich sound out of the system too, which I thought I had on the e200.

You have a lot of DSP effects enabled. Does the problem still occur if you delete your config file?

Is this still a problem or can I close this task?
