FS#12243 - Upside down becomes backward on H10 display

I’m running the ipodVOL skin - I like it because it’s uncluttered and easy to read. I tried to use the Upside Down display setting. It works fine while connected to power, but if I run it on battery and let the display turn itself off, then wait a minute or so and turn the display back on, the readout becomes upside down AND backwards, with pixels smearing along the right side. Sometimes this doesn’t happen until the next song starts.

Fixed in r31514. Thanks for reporting the problem and testing the fix.

Does this fix the problem?

Thanks for the patch. I’d like to try it, but I’m not a programmer. How do I insert this into the code? Sorry for the trouble.

At http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/DevelopmentGuide you can find information on how to set up things for compiling Rockbox. Alternatively, just try this, which I compiled with the patch: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16662598/Rockbox/rockbox_r31509_h10_20gb_upside_down_fix.zip

When testing, please also make sure the LCD wakes up properly when upside down isn’t enabled. Note that this is only for the 20GB H10. The other H10 don’t implement upside down in their LCD driver.

Thanks, I’ll try it and post the results! Happy New Year!

That seems to do the trick. Cheers!
