FS#12285 - Error ATA -82 I can not enter my rockbox device

There is something wrong on my iPod Video 5.5 with ROCKBOX 3.9.1. Because I change my ipod’s HDD to Samsung’s 32G ssd as my rigid disk, I can not enter my rockbox system.
Rockbox boot
leader version v 4.0
ipod version )x000B0011
partition 1 : 0x0B 15598843 sectors
loading Rockbox … Error!
can t load rockbox, ipod:
file not found

Is there something wrong with my new SSD? Or it is just a bug with rockbox which can not support my SSD

I'm closing this as _very_ obsolete. This problem was fixed multiple releases ago.

Is your SSD properly formatted as a FAT32 (i.e., Windows-formatted iPod)? Look at (and links from there) for proper formatting of an iPod, especially if Mac-formatted. Rockbox works only with FAT32-formatted drives; it won't work with Mac file formats.

That seems like a failure in firmware/drivers/ata.c in set_features(), when it's called by ata_init(). Try removing some things from the features[] array. Maybe first try acoustic management, because that's irrelevant for a SSD. Rockbox does check that the drive supports a feature before setting it, but some devices could return an error even though they claim to support the feature.

Some errors with one of the features are already ignored. Maybe more should be ignored? Rockbox can work even if read-ahead, AAM or APM can't be used.
