FS#12318 - e200 Manual update -- Section 10.3 Recording Settings / Frequency
The documentation for the Sansa e200 is out of date. Section 10.3 of the manual states:
“Recordings can only be made at a 22.05 kHz frequency (sample rate) on this player. "
I don’t know when the functionality was added, but 3.9.1 for e200 presently allows two additional sample rates/frequencies 24 and 16 kHz. I have confirmed that sansa e200v1 can record at 16 kHz. So it should read:
“Choose the sample rate to be used when recording. Frequencies supported: 24000, 22050, and 16000. Lower sample rates will use disk space more sparingly, which may be more acceptable or even preferable for lecture/voice recordings. Recordings made at 24kHz will be 50% larger than the same recording sampled at 16kHz.”
