FS#12340 - iPod 3g firewire handling prevents charging whilst running rockbox
The rockbox behaviour when plugging in a firewire cable is to automatically reboot into disk-mode, preventing charging whilst running rockbox.

The code for this appears to have been broken at some point; it doesn't seem to obey the button press to not reboot any more.
The fix could be simple: add "#define HAVE_USB_POWER" to firmware/export/config/ipod3g.h. However, I see "Hardware controlled charging?
". If charging isn't fully hardware controlled, then rebooting may be necessary.
