Restoring the menu in the way described in your patch will not take effect until the device is rebooted.
The menu may also be restored on the fly by loading a config file with the root_menu_order set to the default order, such as:
root_menu_order: bookmarks,files,database,wps,settings,recording,radio,playlists,plugins,system_menu,shortcuts,
I use this method on my wife's dap to switch between the custom menu she likes and the full menu when I need it.
You are right. Could you please make the appropriate changes to the patch?
I've just changed it so "root_menu_order: -" will reset the order…
