FS#12615 - Sansa Fuze+ Charging battery problem
Hi. My problem is of my Sansa Fuze+.
The problem is the next.
Yesterday I was listening to music, and the battery went to 0%. The Fuze+ didn’t start, and when I was in home, I connected it to the PC and it says: Bootloader USB mode. I can start the Fuze+ for a second, only for put the USB cable on it to start charging, and Here is the Big problem, the Fuze+ is ON about 12 seconds connected showing charging
in the system info, and after it shuts down and says the same: Bootloader USB mode. It doesn’t charge, and I can’t find a solution for this.
I tried to put back the original Fuze+ firmware, but i can’t whit this problem.
Help me! Thanks :)

Currently rockbox doesn’t charge when in bootloader USB mode. The solution is to hold volume down on plug so that it boots to the OF and charge. This should be fixed in the next version of the bootloader.
I know it, but when it’s loading the battery, it’s in the main menu, and after 12 seconds, the Fuze+ reboot and shows the Bootloader USB mode. That’s the problem, it doesn’t maintains ON when charging. :(
Ok, and updating the OF doesn’t work if you put firmware.sb at the root of the device and boot to the OF using volume down ? If not, what is your OS and can you come on IRC so I can explain to you how to proceed ?
Hi. It doesn’t work. I put the original firmware.sb from Sansa Fuze + and reboot, but the Fuze+ continues in the Rockbox firmware and turns off again. I have Windows 7 Professional… how can i go to the IRC?
IRC: see http://www.rockbox.org/irc/ Do you have to a linux machine ? It’s possible to recover from this situation but I don’t know Windows very much and our tools mainly work under Linux for this target currently; so it would be simpler.
Hi, now my Fuze + has come to normality, I don’t know how, but is normal again. Thanks anyway. :)
