FS#1262 - Player stops mid-song, restarts later
Archos Jukebox Recorder 20
JBR20101
ROM 1.26
Rockbox 2.0
While playing an MP3 files (that previously played fine
using Archos 1.26/7d), the player randomly hangs mid-
song. At this point, both the red & green LEDs are
glowing and the display shows as normal. Pressing the
play/pause button merely changes the icon on the
screen, but does not affect the player. Pressing and
holding the forward and backward buttons changes the
elapsed time display temporarily, but it reverts back to
the stuck time once either button is released. Pressing
and holding the off button will shut off the unit as normal,
but pressing it once will not stop the track as usual.
Shutting off and restarting the player will temporarily fix
the problem, but it will randomly happen again on the
same or a different track. There does not appear to be a
pattern based on when it freezes.
If you do nothing and wait for a minute or two, the player
eventually restarts in the same place (I believe) that it
stopped and continues play. In some instances, the
player froze after the first song in a directory; once after
five songs and the last time I was using it, the player
went through a five song directory twice without freezing.
