FS#12752 - Volume problem on Android RaaA

So far there's still two problem which have never been fixed on Android:
1.When opening Rockbox, its volume bump to max automatically whatever it was when last quit;
2.On most HTC(and probably other) devices one can't use physical volume keys to adjust. Volume bars in WPS and SBS work well however.

Hopes the fixes!

How many phones have you actually tried? You say "most HTC" …

Anyway, on my HTC device the volume keys do work. When Rockbox is open the volume control is a lot more fine grained (100 steps). I.e. you don't see a noticeable effect from pressing the keys only a few times.

Tested on HTC Incredible S, EVO 3D, Sensation (XE XL also), Wildfire it always doesn't work * properly*.
At first the volume is added up step by step and after some steps it bumps to the max or min , or goes back to where it was.

I have the same problem on HTC Explorer, but only with headphones pluged in. Without headphones volume control works well.

Volume buttons work fine for me on HTC Desire and Nexus 7. Since nobody mentioned it before, which builds are you using?

I have been using Rockbox and RaaA Android from the very early version, which numbered with r29xxx(Well I don't remember clearly), but I remember that volume control under r30215 works well. But the later builds(includes recent daily build) can't.

I tried with Rasher build 094eca6-120922 on HTC Explorer vith Android Version 2.3.5.
When headphones are pluged in hardware buttons for volume control doesn't work any more. Without headphones everything works well.
On Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 everything is OK with the same build.
