I'm using 42a725f, and after frequency scaling implementation, sometimes the player slowdown extremely, being unusable (don't stop playing, only small gaps in audio occur).
Less frequently, the player freezes.

I noticed it's happens more frequently if the device is just powered on, and hits play. If I wait a few seconds before resuming play, the freezes are less frequent.

- How often does this happen?
* Frequently, about 2 o 3 times a day (4 hour average playback time, with several shutdown/boot in the middle)

- playing which file format (mp3, ogg, flac, mpc, etc...)?
* Confirmed with mp3 and flac

- which lcd is your device?

I don't experience this on my device. So far even playing games while playing music is smooth.
Providing more information could help understand the problem:
- Are you using a clean .rockbox folder directly from dev builds, no theme, no settings change, no database? If not please start by testing it that way. (rename the .rockbox forlder on your device for save and install a new fresh one from dev builds)
- How often does this happen?
- playing which file format (mp3, ogg, flac, mpc, etc...)? Which quality settings (bit rate)? Try different ones to check if it's really not related to particular one...
- which lcd is you device using (there are two different one you can check this on system -> debug -> View HW info -> tap 10 times the pad until you see the message: lcd kind: xxxxxx, this is what you want!)

Hi, below my answers:

* Yes, clean install. No themes. I was using database but disabled it now, no special settings (only EQ, do you think I must disable it?)

Yes try to disable any setting first including EQ.

Another question is the player locked when it happens? When it seems freezed does pushing the unlock keys release playing? (I have this issue myself)

DB disabled, EQ disabled, and the issue is still there.
