FS#12828 - french translation

That part of the file confuses me :
+ id: LANG_CODEPAGE_WESTERN_EUROPEAN
+ desc: in codepage setting menu

 user: core
 <source>

- *: “Restart Sleep Timer On Keypress” + *: “Western European (CP1252)”

 </source>
 <dest>

- *: “Redémarrer la minuterie d’arrêt sur pression d’une touche” + *: “Western European (CP1252)”

I assume the lines below are irrelevant but did not dare removing them
- *: “Restart Sleep Timer On Keypress” - *: “Redémarrer la minuterie d’arrêt sur pression d’une touche”

As for the rest, I did my best : french is my native language but not “technical french”… I actually use rockbox in english…

This translation is quite out of date, so I'm going to close this.

We appreciate the effort though, and if you'd like to rework this against the current French translation we promise to be more responsive.

I guess summary should be "french translation patch". I missed that and cannot edit sorry.

I checked how the french menu is displayed on my Sansa Clip and made some changes that are more consistent.

For instance I replaced "dossier" by "répertoire". Both words mean the same in IT. I prefer "dossier" since it's shorter but "répertoire" is used already used instead so…

For the same reason I replaced "mise en veille" by "minuterie d'arrêt". "veille"="standby vs "arrêt"=shutdown. "Mise en veille" sounds better but "minuterie d'arrêt" is more accurate and more consistent.

I guess translating very specific technical termes like "Simple (Meier)" or "Western European (CPblah blah)" makes no sense in french (France). I guess it might in french (Canada) though

I committed one portion of that patch but the last hunk did not apply with patch
