FS#13153 - OOM panic with playlist on SD card
I use as SD card for podcasts which I use in a Sansa Clip+ and my car. The music is MP3, with a simple M3U playlist.
I can trigger a panic when I perform the following operations:
- Insert SD card with updated playlist
- Power on Sansa Clip+
- Select “Files” - Select “<microSD1>” - Select playlist
This triggers the panic with “playlist_create(): OOM” (see attached picture).
After holding down the power button to reset, I power on, see “Committing database” message, and then I am able to play the playlist.
I don’t believe the problem occurred with the previous version I had installed – which may have been v3.12, but I’m not sure.

I can’t seem to get the OOM error but I can certainly get my clip+ to crash if I do this.
The clip zip however works fine so it needs investigated further.
This should be fixed in dev versions after 12-14-2018
Could you please test?
Gerrit entry here:
http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/#/c/2005/
I installed the build from 2018-12-21 (28f91ff) and I did see a crash, but not an OOM.
I then tried re-initialising the database (which I should have tried before), and I am able to perform the operations in my bug report without errors.
I think this bug can be closed.
Thanks for your effort.
