FS#1320 - Freezes on playback, ID3 tags not displayed

Finally got around to installing Rockbox 2.0.

Played some songs….noticed that ID3 tags (%ia, %id,
%in, %it) aren’t showing up.

Then I went into another directory to play songs and unit
froze. Since I set Auto-Resume to YES, it would freeze
immediately on restart.

Switched back to 1.4, everything works fine….loading
2.0 using ROLO and trying to play the file again causes
my AJR20 to freeze.

I have a couple of the MP3 files on my personal website,
if necessary. Email me for passwords.

I had this same issue.

I loaded 2.0 using a win 98 PC and everything worked great
as expected.

Used a Win XP home PC to ad a few songs a several weeks
latter and from then on the jukebox recorder freezes when it
gets to the last song played.

I reverted to previous version of Rocbox (renamed files usning
XP PC) and it works at expected with the previous version.

Is there some file that XP puts on the Archos which gets in
the way of rockbox 2.0?

BTW I was very much enjoying 2.0 If I knew what file to look
for to remove I would find a Win 98 PC to do that.

I am also having this problem. Various of my MP3‘s freeze in the
middle of the song. When they freeze, it completely freezes the unit
… I have to power down and start over. If i try to resume that song,
it immediatly freezes again.

Can you try with the latest daily build and see if the
problem is gone? We have made quite a few fixes since 2.0.
