FS#1337 - Show (Empty) or (No Files) in an empty folder.
On the Archos firmware if you enter an empty folder the
word (empty) is shown on the LCD. On Rockbox the
LCD is just blank.
Could Rockbox include something like (No Files) or
(Folder Empty) to be shown if you enter an empty folder
please? It looks much more pleasing than a blank LCD.

There is now a setting in Rockbox called "Show Path" which will show you the current path at the top of the screen if you enable it. So even in empty folders you'll know where you are. Is this a close enough solution?
seems good enough.
