I got an Archos Jukebox Recorder 20. Before, I had the
rom ver. 1.28. I flashed my rom and uses the latest daily
build, i.e. 12/08/2003, and i noticed 2 problems with the
battery :

1) as some other users did before, the battery level is
incorrect and jumps from different values to some other

2) when i try to charge it, i must got to the system
menu and change the Trickle-Charge option, else it
doesn't react at all. Afterwards, even if i save the new
config, when i put my jukebox in charging mode, it
indicates "not charging" and nothing happens, even if
set the Deep Discharge option to off. Strange!? Else it
seems to charge anyway.

If you insert the charger when the unit is off, the settings
are not read. Then it will charge using the system default
values, where deep discharge is OFF and trickle is ON.

When the charger is inserted when the unit is on, the
charging won't start if the battery level is above 85% (or
10% if deep discharge is ON), unless trickle is ON.

However, since it is using the default settings, the battery
capacity may be incorrect, resulting in a false battery
level calculation. This must be fixed.

The trickle charge issue is fixed in the daily builds. The
battery level issue is also being addressed, although there
is still room for improvements.
