FS#162 - Large playlist causes hang

I have a recorder 20 (jbr20101, archos firmware 1.26)
with approximately 8700 songs in 64KiB encoding.

When loading my larger playlists (say, ALLFILES), the
playlist is scanned
for the total number of entries, it switches to
playing, but then just seems to hang, with the drive
access flashing. The clock stops updating as well. It
can be like this for over 15 minutes, and never
recovers. Power-cycling the unit does restore
functionality.

I tried again with a 5000 song file, and it's been in
the hung state for over 25 minutes now..

i've tried 2500 and 2000 file playlists as well, but
The largest playlist that works is about 1900 files.
It starts up in about 2 seconds.

Yep. 1.3 fixes the problem. Great job!

Not sure if i should open a new bug regarding shuffle mode
and large playlists "preferring" songs from the top of the
playlist. I'll post on the mailing list though.

Can you upload the playlists somewhere, and post a link?

I regularly run a 5800+ song playlist on my Rec20 and have
never seen this problem.

Does it make any difference if you have shuffle enable or not?

Have you tried a very recent daily-build to see if this
problem persists?
