FS#1913 - Batterys won't charge
I have an archos recorder 6000 and i updated the
firmware to rockbox just recently then i did a deep
disharge of the batterys and after it powered all the
way off when the batteries died I plugged power into
the recorder and it says charge mode: Not Charging it
says the battery is -1% and the unit keeps trying to
power on. but dies. If I replace the batteries with some
good AA then it powers on fine. But I would like to be
able to use the rechargeables that came with it.

i just found that i had the same problem after trying to
upload alot of music it went dead over nigh.the next morning
the batteries were dead and when i tryied to charge them it
does the same as yours.
i think its due to trying to display wile batteries are to
low i dont know if this is in the program or it could be
ajusted using the settings but a good option to inpliment
would be a charge mod without displaye or change power level
at witch came be safly displayed

To the original poster:
You need to do a full reflash of Rockbox, since the (fixed)
bug is in the boot loader.
To you who replied to this report:
The hard drive consumes more power than the charger can
deliver. Long USB sessions will drain the batteries. There
is nothing we can do about it.
