Hello,

I’ve recorded a big mp3-file (ca. 120 minutes / 167
MB). After I’ve transfered it (per USB) to the PC, I
startet playing it with WinAmp (@WIN-ME) or with z!
(@eCS). Both software can play the file only for about
99 minutes., then the software stops playing. At the
AJR the file plays all 120 minutes!?

Ciao Ulrich

I think this is a limitation of your playersoftware on the PC.
Try to split the mp3 with Goldwave or some other sound-edit-
software.

This is most likely due to a bad frame, use mp3fixer (seach
google) to fix

a bad frame always at the same time index?

Hello, it's me again. Fixed the file with WAP VBRFIX v.5.3.15,
it shows "change in mpeg version found at frame pos 227805"
and many more of this kind of error-messages. I think,
something will going wrong when recording long files …

Like to "paulheu"'s advice I've tried "mp3fixer" 0.42; it fixes my
(corrupted) file better than vbr-fix …, thanks for your
comments! Ulrich

I often have the same problem but CoolEdit Pro/Adobe
Audition always opens the whole problem file.

Could you try with the latest (or rather 2004-06-05) daily
build and see if it works better?
