I just got a new unit from amazon:
JBR-V2
pn 400028
archos fw 1.40a
using rockbox 2.1
ROM:1.32
MASK:0x0104
FLASH: M=BF D=D6
ROM CRC:0x222F V1

First off, it laods rockboxx nicely but can't flash it. I get
the invalid plugin message. As recommended in the
forum I tried a daily build and couldn't even find the
flash plug-in after that. Then got the debug screen
somehow into an endless loop. Then froze on the Panic
screen! Luckily I was eventually able to shut it off and
reinstall the ver 2.1

I recorded my gig last night (I'm a drummer) and hit
play between most tunes to start a new file. Listened to
stuff during breaks. When I got home and transferred
the files to my computer, two were corrupted. They
won't open; I get a "can't initialize file" warning. One of
these files we listened to at the gig a couple of times
with no problem. It now won't open from the archos
unit either.

Thanks, Jon Margolis

Please follow the flashing procedure carefully:

Remember to unzip the entire ZIP file and play the
ajbrec.ajz file before trying to flash.

Regarding the corrupt files, the MAS can sometimes produce
corrupt MP3 frames if the gain is set too high. Also try the
latest daily build, since the ID3 header has changed.
