FS#2142 - Configure PLAY and/or RIGHT button

With this patch you can map the following actions to
PLAY and/or RIGHT (separately):

Play: original behaviour - default
Insert
Insert Next
Insert Last
Insert Next and Play: insert and play immediately
Queue
Queue Next
Queue Last
Queue Next and Play: queue and play immediately

This patch is an extension of patch # 887081 - Choose
behaviour of play button, by Henrik Backe, who did all
the real work - I just added more options and split the
setting of PLAY and RIGHT. Some refer to it as “party
mode”.

The settings are in:
General settings → Playback → Play button
General settings → Playback → Right button

Tip:
To aid in constructing playlists, set PLAY to “Queue
Next and Play” and RIGHT to “Insert Last”, and PLAY
becomes an invaluable preview tool… Once you’ve
found the right song, just add it at the end of the
playlist with RIGHT.

Sure hope someone can think of more options… :^)
Enjoy,
/JG

play button should play only you are adding confusion to
useability!

The only thing added is freedom for anyone to choose what
they want the buttons to do. If you want to keep the
original behaviour, you don’t have to change anything, and
it will remain as it was:

Play: original behaviour - default

There’s a problem that if you have it set such that neither
play or right is “play”, then you can’t start music from a
stop without going into settings and changing it. Is it
possible to change it such that in this case, there is a way
to start the queue/list from stop? Maybe make stop(off) a
toggle for stop and play?

Other than that, this is an awesome plugin
