FS#220 - Only 99 files visible in a directory
I have a directory with 160 files in it (Audio Book,
lots of 10 minute sections) and browsing in the
directory view only shows from 01 to 99.
The FAQ states that the limit is 400 files in a directory
This is seen on both 1.3 and on the 1.27d Archos
firmware, and finally just to check, the latest daily
build (20020906)
Hardware : Jukebox Recorder 20
Firmware : 1.26
Rockbox : 1.3

How long are the file names?
The limit is either 400 files, or 16Kbytes
worth of file names. Thus, the average file name length is 45 bytes. If your
file names are longer than that, you will fill the buffer before you reach the
400-file limit.
My mistake….
The files were numbered 01 to 99 and 100 to 160…. DOH!
They were simply showing in numerical order… Going up
from 01 got me to 99.
