FS#2203 - No USB2 Connection
I have the Jukebox Recorder 20GB JBR20101 and have
flashed the ROM with the rockbox boot loader. When I
load the original Archos firmware I can connect the
machine to my PC via USB and a USB2 connection is
established.
When I use any Rockbox firmware (from 2.2 onwards
and daily build) I can only establish a USB1 connection.
Windows throws up a message saying “trying to connect
a Hi-Speed device to a non hi-speed hub”. I can confirm
the connection is USB1 on doing a file transfer speed
test.
ROM: 1.28
Mask: 0×0302 USB: positive
ATA: 0×200, master
PR: positive
Flash: M=BF D=D6
ROM CRC: 0x222F V1
Thank you. I was going to sell my machine until I
discovered rockbox so I hope you are able to get to the
bottomof this problem.
Matt

This report is very old and concerns a Rockbox version from eons ago.
Lots happen in the Rockbox all the time,
and if you still have
problems with
this matter I suggest you file a new
entry.

Very strange. It works perfectly for me with both my
recorders and USB2. I use Linux (and Win98SE).
What happens if you ROLO the original firmware, do you get a
USB2.2 connection then?
