FS#2233 - incorrect free disk space calculation
Windows says:
Disk Capacity 55.8GB
Free 7.83GB
Rockbox Info says:
Disk: 55.8GB
Free 740.8GB
Something isn’t right…..
Specs of my Archos
Archos Recorder 20
Rockbox ver CVS-040618 (flashed into rom)
Harddrive: Toshiba MK6021GAS Firmware GA024A
ROM: 1.28
Mask: 0×0302 Flash: M=BF D=D6
ROM CRC: 0x222F V1
It has reported this in the stock version 2.2 build and all
subsequent CVS‘s that I’ve tried.
Not the biggest problem in the world, but looks a bit
rough around the edges if these things aren’t right.
Thanks,
Mark Campbell.

This is a well-known problem with FAT and MS Windows. In short,
Windows does not update the free space counter properly, leaving
applications like Rockbox in the dark about the actual amount of free
disk space.
You can press PLAY in the disk info screen to start a recalculation of
free space, which should give you the correct value.
