FS#2260 - cheap condenser
This isn’t really a bug report, or maybe it is.
Y’r documentation on the FAQ says:
“Recommendation for others: Buy some mic + preamp
combination which can be plugged into a line in of any
amplifier. Maybe such a commercially available
combination needs a power supply and doesn’t work with
batteries. Some are very expensive. (If you know a
cheap solution with an electret condenser mic + preamp,
please tell us!)”
I’m here to tell ya:
http://www.giant-squid-audio-lab.com/ is a great source for such a thing, and they work great.
$50 for a stereo condenser microphone, with a power
supply, and they sound quite good.
I modded mine, cuz it doesn’t have an on/off switch,
which is the main failing. Easy to rectify.
Take it easy, y’all.
