FS#2422 - Spindown Problem
One of the features added to rls 2.3 and 2.4 is the
shutdown mode that spins the disk down before releasing
power to the drive. The problem with this is, if the drive
is not spinning; then the os spins up the disk only to shut
it back off. This is a problem for someone like me who is
ready to bolt out of his car, but have to wait for the disk
to spin down and shut off before i can toss it in my coat
(in risk of damaging the disk from shock).
There needs to be a function that checks for disk
spinage, if no spinage of the disk then system shuts
down, if disk spinning, spin down disk then shut system
down. Would be more efficent and better on the battery
(if only a little bit)

I have never seen that behaviour with my jukeboxes, and
nobody else has reported it. Your jukebox must be different
somehow.
Can you please go to Menu→Info→Debug→View disk info and
tell me the model name of your hard disk.
No reply. I’m closing this report.
