Most likely bad files. Please upload them somewhere and post
links here.

further info:

The MusicMatch V7.2 player reports two new sample
files correctly as VBR.

The Archos software as follows:

MPEG1 Layer 3 VBR, 134 kbit/s 44.1kHz, and
MPEG1 Layer 3 VBR, 107 kbit/s 44.1kHz

RockBox 1.3, 160kbit constant rate.

It is repeatable, going from MusicMatch 7.2 to RockBox
1.3, as far as I can tell.

I will test them on another player to make sure this is
not just a MusicMatch issue when I have time. Not a
serious bug anyway, the files play just fine.

There is absolutely *nothing* we can do until you provide us
with the files.

I repeat: Please upload them somewhere and post links here.

Project Manager

Your files contain a VBRI header, and Rockbox only understands the
Xing VBR header. That explains the 160kbit/s bit rate. We will add VBRI
support as soon as we can. Thank you for reporting this.

Project Manager

I have added partial VBRI support in the file parser, but the time info will still
not be correct. Work is being done on that too.

These files are labeled VBR in 1.4.
