FS#2983 - My ipod is fucked up
I isalled rockbox 3.0 on my ipod then i waited a couple
of secounds and I started looking around in the program
on the ipod then the Ipod said Faild to save Bootpartion… And after that i turned it of and i started it soo I
could start it with the Apple firware to hook it up and
then remove rockbox but when i hold on to the menu
button the hardisk just hacked and i could feel it in
the hand soo I let i start vith the Rockbox!

A) There is no Rockbox 3.0. Current release version is 2.5.
iPod is only available as Daily or Bleeding Edge builds. Are
you saying you installed it on a 3G iPod?
B) Could you restate exactly what your problem is exactly?
Have you or have you not restored it with the Apple Restore
utility? It sounds like you had a problem while trying to
install the bootloader. What exactly do you mean by “the
hardisk just hacked and i could feel it in the hand”? If you
mean that your HD itself is vibrating or making funny
noises, then it sounds like you’ve got an actual HD problem.
(Which may be why the partition failed to write.)
