So here is my first patch. Not too sopisticated, but incredibly useful :)

The patch adds an option to the playback settings to select fixed or variable line-out volume.
The line-out is the sound output on the dock connector. The headphone output is not affected.

I have verified the patch only on iPod 5g, but there is a chance that it could also work on other iPods with WM8975 codec (nano, 4g, color, mini). Feel free to post your results...

Any comments on what I did wrong (lang file mod., etc.) are also welcome.

- add a setting to (statically) modify the lineout gain in case of fixed volume mode.
That came to mind, when I had connected my headphones to the (amplified) 0dB lineout :)

Just noticed that the ipod simulation targets don't build anymore.
So here is the fixed version...

Here is a stripped version of the patch that always sets the lineout volume to 0dB for WM8975 and WM8758 codecs.
