FS#4936 - JPEG viewer slideshow?

Is it at all possible to build randomized slideshow support into the JPEG viewer, much like in stock photoviewer applications? I would rather use Rockbox than the iPod firmware for photo viewing, since it supports zoom, but the lack of slideshow is a bit of a letdown.

Is this just too hard to code in at the moment, or would it be simply a modification of the “next image” function?

looks like i beat bg3r to this :D ive got it changing to the next pic every 5 sec.. not i just gotta make it onfigurable and stuff… and im gonna see if it can be made to load the next pic in the background

ok, here we go… version 1… load the first file in the directory then hit the slideshow toggle button (iriver: long press of a-b, no other targets done yet.. dont know good combos…), it will then show each pic for 5sec (its actually 5sec between button presses… so if it goes 5 sec with no buttons it will show the next image)

next thing we need to do it background pic loading…

take 2,
at linuxstb's suggestion ive changed the quit button to a menu.
so, now u toggle the slideshow mode, and can change the timeout from the menu. also added the playback control menu.

grr…. ok, fixed the toggle slideshow menu..

Wow, that was quick. I'll give this a test tonight, looking forward to it!

I have commited it to CVS with a very small change by me. It i return from the plugin menu, we need to clear the lcd, else we get fragments of the menu text on the lcd.

Hope it was ok that i have commited it, else tell it me.
