FS#5163 - Ipod 4g firmware does not work

Basically anything I do in the 4g tends to cause the firmware to crash

User is no longer experiencing the problem.

Firstly, can you make sure that you are using the very latest CVS build, and install it as follows:

1) Delete your .rockbox folder and the rockbox.ipod file
2) Unzip the new onto your ipod
3) Turn the hold switch on whilst your ipod is booting to reset the settings to their defaults (you should see a “cleared” message flash up).

If you still have the same problems, can you try some older daily builds from the site, and try to determine which is the last one that works for you.

alright, I currently am using week’s build and it works. The latest build seems to “crash” the ipod. Haven’t tried today’s though

recent build with the hold switch clicked in on boot seems to be working now
