FS#5749 - Tag editor

I have installed Rockbox and think that it is fantastic. Is there anyway that there could be customizing of the id3 tags in later version of rockbox????? Am happy to help with the development of this.

change values of fields and fill in fields if they are blank.

There’s a patch on the tracker which was made to do this (http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/1008) but it’s probably really out of date, since it was made over three years ago.

I had a quick attempt at a ID3 editing plugin, but it’s only able to read/write ID3v1 tags (v2 is a LOT more complicated, so I gave up :))

Anyway, you can find it as  FS#5927

Requesting a revival: The ability to edit ID3 v2 tags would be a HUGE convenience, sine Rockbox failed to determine the album for several of my tracks. Editing it through Rockbox would ensure the data’s there.
