FS#6128 - Car power mode option

Hey,

I mostly use my iPod in my car. It is always connected to the power supply that sits in the cigarette lighters socket.
I would find it very useful if I wouldn’t have to shut it down manually everytime I turn the ignition off (since the power supply is shut down as well then).
Is there a chance of adding an option to the menu that allows the iPod to automatically shut down (and create a bookmark) when power from the cigarette
lighter power supply cuts off?

Thanks

Closing all feature requests.

This option already exists in Rockbox. It is called "Car adapter mode". It's possible that it's not enabled on Ipods, but if that's the case, it's simply because it wouldn't work yet at this stage of the port. You can see the description in the Archos Recorder FM manual here: http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-fmrecorder/rockbox-buildch7.html#x10-910007.4.8

So this isn't a case of a missing feature so much as a port that is incomplete.

will someone port this feature in the near future?
