FS#6141 - Organize WPS into 'sets'
The Black Glass theme (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIaudioX5#blackglass) and the Clix theme (http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIaudioX5#clix) have many different versions. When browsing WPSs, it shows all the versions, which can get in the way. My idea is to somehow organize WPSs into ‘sets’. For example, instead of this:
BlackGlass-1
BlackGlass-2
BlackGlass-3
…
It looks like this:
BlackGlass
– BlackGlass-1
– BlackGlass-2
– BlackGlass-3
Clix
– Clix-1
– Clix-2
– Clix-3
Thanks…

The page you are referring to is a wiki. You are able to sign up and edit it yourself, so feel free to attempt to organize the WPS gallery more clearly.
No, no, no. I meant the organization on the Rockbox firmware, not the Wiki.
Maybe I should be a bit more clear…
On Rockbox, when going to “Menu → Browse Themes”, a list of all the WPSs that you have shows up. When you have a ‘set’ of WPSs (meaning, there are many versions of the same one suck as the BlackGlass and Clix themes), they all show up on the page, making it a bit clustered. On mine, I have:
BlackGlass-01
BlackGlass-02
BlackGlass-03
… BlackGlass-09
BlackGlass-10
BlackGlass-11
boeselhack_color
boxes
Clix_AutumnLeaf
Clix_Black
Clix_BlackRed
… Clix_TigerSkin
Clix_Tree
Clix_Winter
DancePuffDuo
engineer
HiPod Dark X5
… etc.
I think it would be much more manageable if the sets are in something like a directory of which you can browse:
Black Glass
– BlackGlass-01
– BlackGlass-02
– BlackGlass-03
– … – BlackGlass-09
– BlackGlass-10
– BlackGlass-11
boeselhack_color
boxes
Clix
– Clix_AutumnLeaf
– Clix_Black
– Clix_BlackRed
– … – Clix_TigerSkin
– Clix_Tree
– Clix_Winter
DancePuffDuo
engineer
HiPod Dark X5
… etc.
So that when you browse “Menu → Browse Themes” the whole thing looks like this:
Black Glass
boeselhack_color
boxes
Clix
DancePuffDuo
engineer
HiPod Dark X5
… etc.
Maybe have support for directories in .rockbox/themes/, so that you can organize your sets into different folders there, and it shows up correspondingly from “Menu → Browse Themes”.
Sorry if I’m still confusing people. >_>
You can do this yourself simply by creating subdirectories on your player. The simply browse the Themes directory using the File Browser instead of the “Browse Themes” function. (Make sure that you have “Show files” set to “All” or “Supported.”)
That’s just it, isn’t it? I mean, if it’s so simple, why not include it as a feature of “Browse Themes”? I keep my “Show Files” option set to either ‘Music’ or ‘ID3 Database’. I makes sense (not to mention logical) to go to “Browse Themes” and have them sorted into sub directories instead of changing my settings around, going through a couple of directories to find the one I’m looking for, and applying it.
Maybe it’s just me being stubborn; I don’t know. >_>
