FS#616 - MP3 Playback Ends Prematurely

This bug report appears to be similar to the (closed?)
bug # 621070: “MP3 ends too soon”.

During playback, it stops playing and it dumps the user
to the local directory, or sometimes the root directory.
It happens with various bitrates/filesize combinations.

After some further testing, I have concluded that it does
not happen while plugged in, and happens more
frequently at low battery charge levels. It actually stops
playback after a few seconds when battery meter is at
1/3. Still dumps user to local/root dir.

I am using Rockbox 1.4 and have an Archos 6000 4.53.

Have never had any problems of this sort with the
Archos firmware.

The read fails because the disk can’t spin up due to low battery power.
Definitely a battery problem.

I want to re-open this bug, because I’m not sure for the real cause, or these
is another error in the computed values for the battery. I get the same error
as freakyflo.
I use the daily .mod from 030205 with the jukebox 6000.
When the playback end, On the battery on top, One bar of the three
available is displayed.
When I use the menu to get the values of the batteries (menu → Info) I get
“Buf: 1.760M” and “47% 4h51m” I thing 47% of the battery whould be
enough to get more sound. with the original firmware I can play longer than
with the rockbox’s one.
If you want additionnal values from debug, I can provide them.
