FS#6286 - Please correct the spelling of "Cancelled".

I use a H340.

In many of the menus, when you enter the settings screen for applicable options, you can press left to return to the menu screen while disregarding any changes you made to the settings. When you do this, the black & grey system message appears and says “Canceled”.

Please change it to “Cancelled”.

Fixed in CVS, thanks for the report.

AFAIK “canceled” is perfectly correct – it’s american english, while “cancelled” is british english (see http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cancel). Most software uses american english as default, not british. But as the manual is written following british english rules we should consider using british english generally in Rockbox.

Oh, didn’t realise there were two spellings. In that case its not worth bothering I guess.

IMHO it is worth bothering to a certain extend, to ensure coherency. So the developers should make a definate decision on which variant to use(American or British English) and stick to that decision.(The discussion on this should obviously take place anywhere else but here.)
