FS#6576 - Unwanted crossfade after pause.

First of all I’m new to Rockbox and Flyspray, so I hope I’m not messing up the tracker and posting duplicate bugs etc.
I’m using iAudio X5 30GB, with rockbox daily build: rockbox-iaudiox5-20070125.

1. Play a song
2. Pause
3. Enter file browser (short select)
4. Select a different song and play it (select or right).
5. Press play/pause button again to resume.

Now, the new song is faded in, and the old song is faded out (with no need).

See FS #5747

While you may have Crossfade disabled, do you have Fade on Stop/Pause (a separate option) enabled?

This is expected behaviour at the moment. Pause stops playback at the output (PCM) stage, not at the decoder (playback) stage, to allow for a low latency resume I assume. It should be fixed when the relationship between playback and PCM is redone…

This is the same issue as http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/5747 . As Steve said, this is the expected behavior currently.
