FS#6846 - Ipod 5.5G 30Gb Invalid shutdown
The last time i used my ipod was 2007-03-14, the same date that I updated rockbox
I try to turn it on, with no success. Blank screen, no reset function, no nothing, responds to nothing.
Only thing I can hear is this weak high frequency noise power up and down, and this ticking in 3Hz
I’ve recorded a sample of how it sounds, dont pay attention to my loud fans from my computer.
I’m pretty sure that the battery will run out soon, it has been ticking for over 4days now.

no response from reporter. Additionally,
the reset function if the Ipod will
_always_ work because it is handled by
Apples firmware. If it does not you have
a hardware problem.

Have you tried a hard reset? Hold menu+select? This happens to me sometimes for no known reason and this works.
