FS#7196 - Static Sound on Sansa
Ever since the new audio improvements, when the LCD is on i hear a static sound on my headphones (someone said it’s the headphones, but previous builds didn’t produce that sound, so it’s probably a bug).
When the LCD goes off, the static goes as well.

I had the same issue and solved it by muting LineIn 1. For sansas without radio this input seems to be open (for lcd noise). The static noise while reading data from the disk is not changed by this mod.
Yep, my Sansa is without a radio.
One question tough. Muting LineIn1, is there a setting in the rockbox menu for it, or it has to be compiled?
I think this Line in should stay muted until radio and input muxing is added. It’s kind of silly to cause these troubles with no current benefit. :\
I have a Sansa with a radio, and got the LCD noise, though I’ve not installed a radio patch. This was with a build about the time this original message is posted (don’t have my Sansa with me to test if muting the line fixes it for me).
I’m sure this has to not be an issue now since the line is only enabled when playing or recording radio.
