FS#7274 - Random empty directories with file tree view

H140; File tree view; mp3 files; immaculate V2 then V1 tags; ALL files check OK on pc
Builds with problem, 5/6/2007 and 8/6/2007 @ 07:32
All builds re Rolo’d and installed by deleting old files, no overwriting.
All My music is in one “Music” directory under “Files”

Bug:
Some albums are devoid of tracks/files, just blank albums/directories, both the builds above exhibit this behaviour, Several albums/directories randomly had zero tracks/files in them. I reverted to a build from the 31/5/2007 and the tracks were visible again.

Interesting! I’ve not seen this here but my directory structure is rather different. Could you perhaps try more builds between 31/5 and 5/6 to see roughly which date this broke?

I forgot to mention DirCache is enabled.

I get normal directory contents display up to build 4/6/2007, with build 5/6/2007 and onwards I get the bug.

Thanks

Seems most likely to be the list handling. Could you export your config and attach it here?

Is it always the ssme albums that are blank, or does it vary. Maybe it’s certain characters in filenames..?

Its always the same albums that are blank.
I use ISO 8859 character set, no UTF.

config is attached.

if you want I could send a sample album to someone, but its a large file, 120 megs.

I cannot reproduce this on my h320 with a build from June 7
Could you post the path of the album on your player and the names of the files?

In the attachement is a folder structure that can be used for reproduction.
To reproduce the bug enable paged scrolling and choose a font that is big enough that Folder1 has a scrollbar.
Then enter Folder2 (inside Folder1), put the cursor on the last item and press LEFT to go back one level.

I can reproduce it with PaulJam’s test files, it appears to me like the display doesn’t follow the selector if the selected item in a list is further down that the last item in the next list, (the folder you enter/ exit).
And only with paged scrolling.
