FS#7509 - Data abort at 0001CD24 - system fails during MP3 playback
While playing MP3‘s through the database on my iRiver H10 20 GB, tracks start to skip and then the OS crashes soon after, leaving the message “Data abort at 0001CD24”. This happens after anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes of playback.
This happened with current build r14089-070731.

Have you used any builds before this? If so, did you also update the bootloader?
I update with the latest build every 2 days or so. The builds for the past week or so have been fine.
Here’s the thing - how do you know when there’s a new version of the bootloader available? I last updated it about 3 weeks ago with whatever version is linked to in the manual.
There isn’t really a way of knowing, without carefully looking at whats been changed. Try a new bootloader and see what happens.
Sega - so is this now fixed?
No, it froze again twice last night during database MP3 playback with a bootloader I downloaded from the manual link 2 days ago, and the build r14107-070731.
Plesae try again using an up-to-date build from http://build.rockbox.org/ - I was wondering about changes that took place on the 1st August.
I’m using r14762 and also have this, but for me it’s after 2 seconds of playback with the error: Data abort at 40001350.
I’ve just completely reinstalled rockbox, but the error remains.
Sorry scrap that comment, I’m using a Nano 1st Gen and wasn’t paying attention to the fact that this post is about iRiver. I’ll make a fresh bugreport.
Is this problem still present?
