FS#7895 - Wake up alarm will not work

Hi all,
Since the recent voicing of the wake up alarm, I have nearly slept through and been late to school every night. The reason is I hook my ipod up to my speakers and set the alarm. I press play and it stays on. Why is this happening?

This was more of a documentation issue, however it would be nice if those button strings would be voiced too

Do you mean that it doesn't wake up anymore? That sounds really weird.

Good someone is using one of the features I implemented.

I will admit the wakeup alarm is a bit confusing.
You must set it for the time it should wake up and when exiting the screen (play) it should say waking up and how long until it will go off.
What exactly do you here when you hit play? So if you set it for 7 am and it is midnight do you hear:
Waking up in 7 hours 0 minutes?
If so now just turn off the player and wait.

Maybe do a test so if it is 4 in the afternoon make it go off at 10 past 4 to test it is working ok.

Also you can use it with the sleep timer.
-Set the alarm
-set the sleep timer
It will turn off and wake up.

Let me know if you get it working or not.

Linus, I think he is setting it wrong. There hasn't really been any changes to the alarm code a part from
 FS#7682  been committed.
I tested it with out your function on my iriver and it worked fine but I doubt the function would affect it.

When it comes to keymaps, it is 1 target for itself. Did you notice me saying an ipod? Not an iriver?

Hey I know about key maps. Did you notice that I only said "iriver" in the comment directed to linus.

What ever button you press to set it. If it says waking up in then a number of hours and minutes. Then you pressed the right button.
Shutdown the player and see if it wakes up.
Then tell me if that worked.

I hear nothing when I press play. I think the manual is wrong. I think it is the same thing as battery_bench in some target or other (either gigabeat or iaudio). Thanks

You should press SELECT to set the alarm, it seems to work in the sim but I don't have any alarm capable player to test on. The text displayed in the screen seems correct but it doesn't seem to be voiced.

Thanks.
