FS#7948 - Freeze on quick menu

The quick menu freezes and ceases to work from the moment you press it. Not sure if ‘quick menu’ is the correct name, but it’s the menu that comes up after holding down the menu button (A-B on the H340) with the shuffle, repeat, and show-files options. Before, it used to come up, freeze for a couple of seconds (music stops) but then it would recover. Now it just freezes without recovery.

Which font/language do you use and does this happen if you for example use english?

I’m using English and a theme with a large font (helvB12-L1.fnt) for use in the car but the quick menu used to work with that font.

If it helps I first experienced this on the build from the night of Mon 8 Oct, but it may have been present before. I hadn’t updated for a while (until the car adaptor mode was fixed).

I can’t reproduce on my h300 so it would be most helpful if you could work out in which revision or at least which day this broke.

I don’t know about the H300 but on my H140 the bug is present in the 1st October build but it works OK in the 30th September build

After some testing, it seems the last revision that worked was 14926. 14927 & 14928 were committed with reds (non-compiling) so 14929 was the first revision it doesn’t work on. This is kind of in agreement with Geoff’s previous comment; 14929 is dated ‘Sun Sep 30 21:40:22 2007 UTC’.

I also use a large font, win_crox4h.

My guess is that issue is scrolling with large fonts?
