Further to this, this also happens with my FM Recorder - from
looking thru the src code it seems to be that the device isnt
receiving any ACK’s from the MAS - possibly a different MAS
in the Recorder FM?

Additional information:

Latest daily build [ archos20030121.ajz ] still exhibits panic
on boot
Latest bleeding edge cvs build [ 2003-01-21 19:40:00 ] and
my own local build from cvs source @ 2003-01-22 00:00 GMT
do something different :)

Shortly after the rockbox logo appears, the unit switches
itselve off.

Will have a look over cvs changes tomorrow, see if I can spot
something obvious ;)

also happens with: archos20030120.ajz

archos2003021.ajz boots and shows splash screen followed
by immediate power off when using batteries.

When on AC the unit will boot show splash screen and then
root listing. The unit then hangs with no error message.

I have hi-res scans of PCB showing ICs if these will help the
cause.

Tried 20030122.ajz and still powers down after splash screen.

Batteries are fully charged and unit works normally with
Archos FW

Have not had opportunity to try on AC

Please try the daily tomorrow, the 20030123, it is again
modified and may work differently!

Shows splash then powers off when on battery. Will try on
AC tonight.

OK I tried 20030124

When on batteries it still shuts off on boot.

20030123 & 20030124 will both when on AC.

The UI works as it should I can play MP3s change settings
and even Tetris works.

If I disconnect the AC the JB will power off immediately.

The battery indicator shows the battery charging animation
however the backlight will shut off after 4 seconds even when
firmware set to keep backlight on when connected to AC.

Any specific information you need that might help please
ask. I have AC adapter here at work now.

Tested 20030127 and the JB will now function normally.

Can even ROLO to Archos FW to use radio.

The battery indicator does not work correctly and shows low
even though the unit is fully charged.

display light only works on play, and when releasing fw/bw.
battery indicator shows wrong value, mostly too low…

is there a bug track only for fm recorder daily builds?

Tried all 2003-01-27 & 2003-01-28 bleeding edge builds on
my FM recorder 20.

It still powers off completely after a half a second of the
splash screen. I saw others got 2003-01-27 to work on the
batteries, but I’ve had no such luck. It does work nicely on
AC adaptor, however.
