FS#8540 - Add MSC Mode warning at very beginning of Installation Chapter
This…
“Warning: The following steps require you to change the setting in Settings → USB Mode to MSC from within the original firmware.”
Should be at the very beginning of the Installation chapter instead of after the RbUtil section, because RbUtil still requires it to be in MSC mode. (This “bug” is at least true in the Sansa e200 manual, I didn’t check em all).

This patch moves the USB Mode warnings to the "USB Connection" part of the Installation section.
Thanks for the effort, I committed it now as is.
The reason why I leave it open for now is that I know there are quite a few other shortcomings in important parts of the installation chapter. And I started working on a new structure for it (collecting all the info etc.) but haven't gotten around writing it - it's not an easy task for a non-native speaker. I'll probably provide my ideas in the "A call for help: The Manual" thread in the forums (http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=15646) for discussion in the next days.
If you still want me to close this task (or edit topic and/or task type) just let me know… or if I remember correctly that you now have the powers: do as you like (I'll keep watching).
I'd be more than happy to help out with any writing of the manual. Canadian-English is my native tongue and I feel I have a pretty decent grasp of how to express ideas clearly. Do you think renaming this task "Installation Chapter Rewrite" and collecting all ideas and patches here would be a good idea? Edit: I just noticed
FS#8715, but haven't looked at the proposed changes.Nice to see someone motivated to work on the manual
IMO renaming of tasks generally isn't the best idea as they are still references and renaming a task looses its history (at least you can't easily browse that, no idea if it's possible at all). IMO once a task has fulfilled it's original purpose it should get closed and possibly followed by another task – much like a patch should only address one issue :)
Just my 2¢.
