FS#8558 - Data Abort at 01F03400 (0)

I’ve been looking everywhere for this specific data abort but haven’t found one yet. Basically some songs will play and others will not. If I listen through one song from my database, the player either freezes up. If the backlight is on I get the data abort message, if the backlight is off it just remains black. The songs on my microSD card work fine however, its just the songs in my database, some work and some freeze up my player. Does anybody know why and how I can fix it?

Are you using the latest version of rockbox (latest current build)?
Does it always happen in the same files? In the same position?
Does it happen if you play files from the built in memory in file browser?

Are you using WMA files? Could this be related to  FS#8606 ?

It turns out it was the WMA files, so I just uninstalled rockbox until the new builds can play wma’s :)

WMA files should play fine - maybe you could attach an example file to  FS#8606  in case it’s a different case to the one that’s there? I’ll close this issue and assume it’s a duplicate.
