FS#8559 - Rockbox 16130+ Hangs on Splash Screen

When starting Rockbox, the 2G iPod Mini (at least), hangs on the splash screen.

Expected behavior: Player continues to main menu.

Steps to reproduce: Install Rockbox build 16130-20080121 or later on an iPod Mini 2G. From the changelog, revision 16123 is a good candidate for the first version exhibiting this problem, but I lack a build environment and the patience to check for sure–if people have 16122 and 16123 compiled, and think it will help, I’ll gladly run them and test.

Looking at the svn log, it seems like 16124 is probably the commit you’re thinking of. Attached are rockbox builds immediately before and after that commit.

Yep, that was my mistake (misread the svn log.) Based on Barry’s posted builds, though, it was 16124 that killed my Mini. Build 16123 works fine, and for the moment, I’ll be reinstalling that. Let me know if you need me to test a revised patch.

Is this still an issue? I have a current build on my mini 2G and no problems.
